Hotels near Kukke Subramanya Temple, Subrahmanya

Kukke Subramanya temple has become more commercial than devotional. The priests are all money minded and nothing in the temple is arranged properly. People jump queues and the security is no where to be seen. They just come once to collect the receipt of the money you pay for a particular pooja and then disappear. People storm into the temple when the doors are opened because there is no crowd management here. If you are with family, you have to be prepared to get pushed around and stamped on. Leave your kids behind for this temple. The priests are also very rude and think they own the place and are doing us a favor by letting us in. I saw a mother give a small piece of soft biscuit to her baby and the priest stopped his chanting and started yelling at her in the middle of the crowd. The baby was probably just 1 year old. He then went on to use words like 'Why do you people even come to the temple'. The other people who were seated were telling the priest and its just a small baby and please let it go but he didnt listen to anyone and just kept yelling. Whats the point of going to a place like this where the only thing they care about is money.
