Incredible. Every one should visit this place.

Incredible. Every one should visit this place. Along with the sad history, it is somewhere where these historical games are an awesome place to visit. I hope one day to see the games. I did it prev COVID-19 and I do hope ALL our beloved games come back when we can get a vaccine. KEEP SAFE, FROM SOUTH WALES!

Anyone from outside Ireland should try to get to see Gaelic games at Croke Park - Gaelic football [bit like Aussie Rules] or, better, hurling. If it's not a really warm day though, it can get chilly. Wrap up well. And take the Croke Park tour - there's a lot of Irish history tied up in 'Croker', it's more than a sports ground.

I'm not much into sports, but this was a very interesting place to tour from the standpoint of history and understanding Ireland's extreme nationalist (in a good sense) sensibility. After "Bloody Sunday" this site has become sacred martyred ground, and the playing of Gaelic sports something of a holy nationalist pastime. Coming to the stadium and taking the tour was a revelation.

We did the escorted tour of Croake Park with a very friendly and knowledgeable lady called Annette. The history of the stadium and the GAA is very much part of the history of the city/country and is an Irish cultural gem. The visit represented excellent value for money and was highly informative with excellent interactive activities for all age groups. We have done a couple of stadium tours in several cities and this is one of the best we have visited for overall sporting and historical reference.
