We picked the hotel as we were doing a number of daytrips via train, and was easy walk over to the train. Cab stand right outside the hotel as well. Could not really hear street noise (ask for a room facing the back at the square the Rena Sophia is on). Clean spacious room with good shower water pressure. Helpful staff. Breakfast buffet (but no variety) for 12e. excellent stay.

The bathroom did have a nice big bathtub, which is something you usually don't find nowadays. The hotel is somewhat close to the Atocha train station, with "somewhat" being the operative word. Still, it's a good 12-15 walk from the train station, assuming you're walking at a brisk pace and assuming you don't get lost (which is easy to do because the streets are not well-marked).

My husband and I chose a double room and we had fantastic views on the 5th floor, with plenty of windows to see the Atocha train station and other landmarks. A quick five minute walk from the train station to the hostel. The park is five minutes away and absolutely lovely to walk through.
