L’Hospitalet de Llobregat is roughly midway between Barcelona El Prat Airport and the centre of the Catalan capital, which makes it a popular accommodation choice. Although now effectively a Barcelona suburb, it is actually a separate city and is one of the most densely populated in the EU, which means no shortage of cheap hostels, modern apartments and luxury hotels on Booking.com.
One of these – the Hesperia Hotel – is a landmark in its own right, as its bulbous tower encloses a panoramic restaurant. Other innovative skyscrapers pepper the skyline – a sign of the city’s financial importance. Fira Barcelona Montjuic is a busy exhibition centre and across the road is the large Gran Via 2 Shopping Centre.
Metro stations on the Gran Via connect Hospitalet de Llobregat to Plaça d'Espanya. It is also linked to Barcelona Sants by trains from the station near El Centre, the oldest district. Narrow Carrer Xipreret is lined with pastel-coloured buildings and a historic building around the corner houses the Hospitalet History Museum. Another interesting structure is the Can Sumarro library and the surrounding shops, cafés and bars reflect the diverse population.
In the north, near Barcelona’s Les Corts district, is the iconic Nou Camp stadium, home of world-famous FC Barcelona.

Sent my days in Barcelona, I was there just to sleep because I got a cheaper hotel located there. There were no good options for restaurants for dinner or coffee places. It's not a touristic area at all. Wouldnt recommend staying there unless you need to save some money on accommodation or have a specific event you're are attending nearby.

Great acomodation for a very good price in central location. We were in Barcelona for a Euroleague game and all were fantastic. The facility have exactly what you would need and furnished ia tasty style especially for thar kind of price range. Maybe the only thing that could be seen as a flaw was the lack of an elevator... But we didn't need any .

The people in the front desk was very helpful.
The people in the front desk was very helpful. Our flight arrived at 9am the check in was at 3pm but they help us and let us in the room earlier. That made a huge difference for us cause we were able to rest and then go out and enjoy the city until late.

It's not a busy part of Barcelona in the tourist sense. You need to use the Metro at least 30 minutes with line changes to get to the major tourist attractions but this was close by to the Fira Granvia where I was going to work the following week.IramainUnited States of America

The lobby is very relaxing; spacious; great area to relax and order a drink from the lobby bar. Very good atmosphere. Location is perfect for metro, on your door step - and I liked that the hotel is out of town. It is in a quiet district and close to a few local restaurants that are open until late. The train and bus are a 20 minute ride to central Barcelona. The building is gorgeus; modern design and fresh plants everywhere.

Taxi from Airport cost approx. 25 eur, from/to downtown varies between 8-12 eur. Location is quiet and just opposite of big shopping center. Cleaning was good and done every day. Pool at the top was super nice - although it wasn't officially open yet and freezing cold, but we loved it :) All the hotels during Easter time were expensive, this was quite ok for the money - I can recommend!

Please note, however, that it is not near any major tourist attractions or "popular" neighbourhoods. It's also technically not in Barcelona.
