I had a wonderful stay at Rose Lodge! It is situated in Bo-Kaap, one of the most interesting neighborhoods in Cape Town. It is within walking distance from the Green Market and a number of interesting shops and neighborhood restaurants, including Faeeza's Tea Garden. The Lodge is very clean, cozy, decorated with taste, and provides all the necessary amenities. Most importantly, Lucy and Bruce went above and beyond what one would expect from hosts. They were helpful in their suggestions of what to do, and available if there were problems. If I go back to Cape Town (and I hope I will), I will absolutely book another stay there!

Rose Lodge is a lovely house located centrally in the lively neighborhood of Bo-Kaap. I was lucky to be there during the new year holiday, so the carnival celebrations happening right outside my window made this an amazing and unique stay. But it's also easy to get around Cape Town from here and there are incredible views of Table Mountain around every corner. Bruce was a friendly host, always up for a chat and quick to offer helpful recommendations.

This is the perfect place to stay if you are coming for the first time to Cape Town, especially when traveling alone. The owner is such a kind person and made me feel welcome from the very first second. Also he speaks many languages, which is a clear plus. The house is in a great location so you can even walk around a bit and to the city centre without having to worry. Just try not to walk on the steers in Cape Town alone when it is dark.

The owner was really friendly and his life story is rich. He knows his way around this business, therefore he’ll make sure everything fits and makes sure his guests feel welcome. He has two lovely dogs that guard the house, so safety is his main priority. Overall lovely stay and would definitely come back again!:)

I really enjoyed my 3 day in this guesthouse. Bruce is a wonderful host who makes guests feel like home. He provided very useful on places to visit and restaurants to eat. The bedroom and bathroom were very nice, clean and comfortable, no noise at all. I will definitely stay here next time I’m in Cape Town.
