Over the past 18 years I have had over 22,000 people pass through Pelican Lodge, each person welcomed into the Guesthouse as if this is home for them. Not matter the stay short or long, each person from all corners of the world has experienced the little touches and the love in what we offer, and what we do. Each room has it's own touch of uniqueness, which allows you the guest to find a room that suits you, and that brings you back time and again. Our breakfasts, freshly prepared with ingredients from the garden, our coffee sourced from local roasters, the comfortable beds, the out side entertainment area for family gatherings. When people come to stay and experience our hospitality, they leave with fond memories and the longing to return again soon.

Hi my name is Ian, I am the owner of Pelican Lodge Guesthouse for over 17 years now. Everything I have created and done at the Lodge, I've done myself and with the help of wonderful staff, and on the odd occasion a willing guest. It's been a wonderful experience opening my business home to people from near and afar, and doing what we do best Hospitality. The memories and wonderful times shared with our guests, is what makes this so rewarding. I get up everyday, not knowing whose coming to stay, but by the time they leave, they are wanting to return for more, and new friendships are formed. I have been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years. I started out in 1994 working in a family country hotel, and then went overseas to the UK to get some international experience, and worked for Hilton Hotels.

The guesthouse resides in a quite residential neighborhood in Slow Town Sedgefield. It's a 10 minute walk into the town to checkout the antique shops, or Classic Cars, or grab a lunch at one of our many coffee shops. We are a short 5 min drive to the beach and lagoon, or a 45min walk. Our Town is perfect for those that like to cycle as well, and the bird life is a treat. We are a block back from the N2, so we are easy to find. Being so central in the Garden Route we are about 30 minutes to an hours drive to most places and adventure spots along the Garden Route, a great place to base yourself.
