As Paarl is my home town I’m probably a little biased. The town has much to offer. The historic Main Street, so put on your walking shoes. For those travellers who enjoy wine Paarl has a lot to offer. There are plenty of wine estates to visit including the KWV winery. A visit to Paarl Rock is a must with stunning views across the valley. Paarl is home to the Afrikaans language visit the Taal Monument. For those travellers who want a relaxing break, Paarl is for you. Paarl unlike other Wineland towns like Stellenbosch and Franshoek is a lot less quieter with fewer tourists. A gem not to be missed.

Paarl has a very interesting Main Street if you enjoy architecture: there are a couple of centuries of architectural styles here. The scenery and surrounding mountains are spectacular and of course … let’s not forget all those gorgeous wine estates, tastings and food pairings.

Of the Cape Winelands Paarl is the least attractive and although we have seen lots of fab attractions it’s and wineries the majority are readily accessible from Franschhoek.

There is more than enough quality and good restaurants.
There is more than enough quality and good restaurants. Lots of things to do (e.g. el Paca farm). beautiful surrounds and fairly quiet. The only detractor are the beggars on the streets - I never felt threatened, but it gets a bit much after a while.

The Laborie location is perfect ..close access the highway .
The Laborie location is perfect ..close access the highway ..and not far from Franschoek and Stellenbosch. We really enjoy the Winelands and prefer it to the the hustle and bustle of Central Cape Town. Paarl itself is quaint and quiet ..although in fairness we did not venture out into the wineland area of Paarl ..as our trip was too s hort ..only 5 days ..next time it will be for two weeks ..
A magnificent 17th century manor house. We were lucky to stay in the main building - it is a real palace with antique furniture, bathrooms and a huge living room. In the morning, an excellent breakfast was served in the room with a fireplace - very pleasant in bad weather. Next to the hotel there is a charming winery Fairview with good wine and goat cheese tasting. We were recommended restaurants in the city of Paarl where we could have dinner in the evening. I really hope to return to Diamond Estate in the summer)
The host was very accommodating, warm and friendly. She let us in earlier than we should have just so that we could take a nap after a long trip. It is a pretty place and for people who have children at Paarl Gim it is the perfect place to stay.
The room was quite spacious and the parking was above expectation - I parked in the shade under a carport. The host told me everything about Paarl as it was my first time in town where my daughter will school in 2024. I appreciated that there was electricity 24/7
The room was amazing, probably the best place we stayed at in a very long time. The breakfast was good and the view over Paarl was just sublime with a small vineyard right in front of you, you forget that you are actually in town and not in the countryside. The big bathroom with big shower, luxurious bath and toilet in its own cubicle was perfect. I would without a doubt stay there again in the future. I wanted to take pictures of the tilework in the shower as it was so well done. :)
Beautiful estate, we had a wonderful hike up the hill, through the vineyards to the Paarl Taal monument.
The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds, Netflix and a generator - so that loadshedding doesn't ruin your day!
We had a wonderful meal at Giovannis on site restaurant and another great meal at the Stoep for our included breakfast.
Wonderful stay all and all! We keep saying we should've stayed another night!
Quaint unpretentious cottage on a working wine farm run by the family owners. Amazingly comfortable beds. The cottage is well appointed for both short and longer term stays. Stunning views. Central to be Paarl winelands and a perfect place to base explorations of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek wine regions. Staff are exceptional. The family owners live and work on the estate and are welcoming to their guests.
I had a nice stay in a separate building called 'Die stal'. They have upgraded to a boutique hotel since I was there last time. The room was very comfortable & clean and the check-in was very smooth. The location is excellent close to many restaurants and bars. Parking is very safe and convenient next to the garden area at the back of the hotel. The breakfast was nice as well.
Everything about Perle du Cap is special! From the moment you drive in and are shown to your elegantly furnished room, you are made to feel welcome. The view from the balcony is magnificent and the little stream and waterfall at the bottom of the garden, so peaceful. A little slice of heaven on our whirlwind visit to Paarl.
We had just come from the Okavango Delta that day and couldn't have been staying at a more comfortable and welcoming place. The rooms were superb and welcoming and the food was outstanding. We had a wonderful evening with all the employees too and an early morning walk for coffee in Paarl. Location perfect for us.
Friendly service - Minette made us feel very welcome. Beautiful, spotless room with lots of unexpected extras such as healthy rusks and milk in the fridge. Very sorry we didn't have time to enjoy a coffee on the stoep. Madeliefie will definitely be our preferred accommodation in Paarl.
The bed was very comfortable, staff were friendly. Breakfast was nice and satisfying served on a porch with nice garden view, the lobby of the hotel has a nice Victorian ambience, perfect to start your morning. Good wifi connection. Lot of parking is available on spot
A very well-appointed room in a newly renovated farm boutique hotel. Set in a beautiful garden, and managed by excellent staff. The breakfast was amazing. Simple, but executed perfectly. Probably one of the tastiest I’ve ever had in a hotel. Loved our short stay.
Paarl Hideaway exceeded our expectations. We only stayed there for one night and were looking for a sleepover accommodation but after visiting we blown away by the beauty of the place and would like to visit again and stay longer in Paarl.
Checking in went very smooth, safe parking, amicable staff, a nice clean room, a great location with lovely views, and an exceptional breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to spend the night in Paarl.
Rhys was super helpful with information and things we asked. conveniently located in Paarl and nice place to stay and explore. it is located at a small hilltop with a beautiful view over the mountains
Wonderful new peaceful and private cottage with views over Paarl and mountains. Very clean and tidy and beautifully decorated. Sarine and her husband are lovely people. We enjoyed our stay very much.
We spent one night at the Zomerlust. It is located right on the main road in Paarl i.e. very central. It’s a quaint , old house that has been turned into a hotel.
