I needed a place to crash before for a few hours between arriving in Hanoi and checking in to my main accomodation. This seemed like the nicest option, closest to the airport. The manager reached out to me days before arrival to confirm my arrival details and even came himself to pick me up from the airport at 2am. The entire family was involved in running this adorable little hotel and I truly felt well cared for in just those few hours. The room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. It had a simple and small bathroom with great pressure in the shower. Hot water was available at all times. The hosts organised a taxi for me to get into the city and charged me a rather reasonable rate (less than Grab). They even gave me a snack and a drink while I waited and also helped me load my bags into the car in the pouring rain. The hotel overlooks beautiful paddy fields. All in all it was a lovely experience and I wished I was staying longer. It was the nicest way to start my trip to Hanoi.

I booked with you guys with my credit card, and I didn't have cash on me, so when I arrived, the lady told me she couldn't swip my card because her machine was broken or something it was so bad for me I had to go and boom again and stayed at the airport sleeping pods

This property was centrally located in Old Town Hanoi- right in the middle of the hustle & bustle. It was within walking distance of Hoan Kem(so?) lake; very convenient. The staff was exceptional! Even after we checked out & went up to Sapa & to Ninh Binh, we came back to the Golden Silk, as that was the only place we knew. Since our logistics weren’t always spot-on, we hung out there. They were welcoming & even stored our bags for us when we had time to spare! We’ve never had a hotel do that! They were so welcoming!
The breakfast buffet was great, as was the food in the hotel restaurant. The room was spacious, clean , & comfortable, & very affordable!

I didn't stay at this hotel to tour the local town, but only for convenience near the Hanoi international airport, because I had an early morning flight and was concerned about unpredictability of traffic from farther away. I did extensive search to find a place close to airport but inexpensive price and still good quality. The Family Transit Hotel in Thach Loi satisfied everything I was looking for, and was so much more in quality and customer service by the staff there. Personalized shuttle service from hotel staff got me to international departures drop off within about 10 minutes of when I came down to front desk to check out.
