There were a couple of very attractive trails for biking which is one of the reasons we chose Big Bear. We also enjoyed strolling in Big Bear Village...some nice shops and a good variety of restaurants.
Beware that the roads leading to Big Bear are very windy and some people choose to go much faster than the speed limit so I would suggest going only on slow traffic days and in good weather.

Charming place, the Village was a lovely place with many stores and restaurants. I advise to book restaurants in advance during the holidays because it gets full and it can be hard to find a place to eat. We ended up in a restaurant named "Sizzler" very late on Dec 24th, and it surprised us with very good steaks and shrimps plus good service.

I was there before the first snow. Not too crowded, not too empty. Just perfect, probably the last days of fall. It is magic if you like hiking, and looking for refuge in nature. Locals are extremely warm. For shoppers, there is an attractive shopping area.

Traveled to Big Bear to visit son.
Traveled to Big Bear to visit son. My stay at Lagonita Lodge was AWESOME, right on the Lake with lots of amenities! Off-Season price was very affordable for apartment/condo unit with FULL Kitchen and a Living Room with Fireplace!! Staff was friendly and very helpful. I was stranded at Lodge when my son experienced car trouble. NO UBER Services in off-season! NO RENTAL CAR AGENCIES in Big Bear!! Thank God there was a Friday Night Welcome Party that evening at the Lodge, with lots of FREE, delicious food and drinks; otherwise, I may have gone hungry, LOL! There are probably Grub Hub or Door Dash services, not sure! Employees Mike and Cindy (hope I have her name right, she was new), were wonderful and lots of fun to be around at events! Fantastic place for a Family Reunion or a Class Reunion. LOVED the fireplace and my second floor view of the lake! Not accustomed to driving mountain roads, scary! My negative feedback is there were no assigned parking spaces and we could never find an open spot, had to park on the street and walk!! The tub enclosure had MOLD. My son brought me Tilex, I sprayed tub ledge and some of the MOLD disappeared. The rest of the mold was caulked over and could not be cleaned!! Overall, a great place to stay! Dinner at AZTECA Mexican Grill was delicious and the SANGRIA was killer!! Best Sangria, lots of fruit!! LouEddie’s Pizza outside Big Bear in Sky Forest on State Hwy 18 is fantastic, pizza is scrumptious, great views on Rim of the World Highway, Scenic Overlook! Maggio’s in Big Bear had a wonderful Spinach Salad! Took day trip to Palm Springs to go on Aerial Tramway, what a thrill.

My wife and I had a great time taking a pontoon boat out of Hollaways Marina for a few hours and do some fishing and just relaxing on the boat. It was a short drive to Lake Arrowhead for the afternoon and we enjoyed going into the village to walk a little and sight seeing.

There were 3 levels in this lovely lake view condo - if stairs are an issue for you this probably isn’t the condo for you. The 1st floor and through the garage had a very sweet studio with a king size bed. It also had a small patio with a view of the lake. The 2nd floor was the living / kitchen / dining area (open concept). It had a small outside deck with a nice view of the lake and is where we obviously spent most of our time. The 3rd floor had a lovely master and ensuite with the best views of the lake. There was a 3rd bedroom and bath on the street side. The condo was nicely decorated and a relaxing atmosphere. We found the dishes, bedding, towels etc very nice quality for a rental. I actually brought my own towel due to past experiences at other condos - no need here.
We loved the location… we walked to the Village every day for meals and popping in and out of stores. Best pancakes we found were at Teddy Bear Restaurant - just a short 5 minute walk. We walked to the marina and took a boat ride on the Big Bear Queen which was also very nice.
The dishwasher was broken when we were there but for us was not an issue as there were only 4 of us and we only cooked 1 breakfast and ate out the other 5 days we were there which is what we love to do.
Sandy/ Olivia - front desk reservations were amazing 🫶🏼… they took care of accommodations and if we had any issues with room .. they immediately took care of it and if they were not able to achieve … Darren - handyman was quickly on it!!!… arrived stressed from city life … enjoyed the peace and quiet with Big Bear mountain life … unfortunately had to return home 😔… will definitely make it a yearly quick getaway to Big Bear Lakefront Lodge … 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🫶🏼thank you
Noon Lodge has lots of activities for the kids—bocce ball, canoeing, corn hole, fishing off the dock and room to toss a frisbee. Gathering spaces and seating are plentiful. The grounds and plantings are beautiful and well-kept. Everyone in our group of 18 enjoyed their spacious cabins. The beds were comfortable and the kitchens contained all the necessities. The manager of the property was welcoming and responsive to any questions and requests.
The property is a small community of cabins that felt cozy and peaceful. Our cabin was clean and had a huge spa tub along with free bath bomb, lotions, body lotion and even a complimentary Bottle of red wine! Staff was friendly.
We had lunch outside on a table under shade and then used the bench (love) swing and just watched the little pond/waterfall they had in the middle of the property!
We had such a wonderful night in the cabin we stayed in. Customer service was exceptional they went above and beyond to make our trip great. For the price, the cabin was cute. The location could not be any better, not even 1 mile to the lake. It was cozy and had everything we needed. "Even logs in the fireplace." We will definitely be coming back. Thank you, Cabins 4 less!
That hotel is great. It is within walking distance to all the main points. There is a bike rental, just a couple of blocks away. It was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are big, cozy, clean, and warm. The kitchen has everything you might need, even blenders and baking sheets 😋 we loved it so much ! It is totally worth it.
This home was wonderful for me and my family. Great location near a lot of different stores. It was very spacious and came with just about everything we forgot at home lol. If you’re looking for a nice get away in Big Bear Lake, THIS IS IT. Host was amazing she was always available to help and assist with any questions.
I like the fact that employees were really nice and helpful.the cabins are very clean. They took the time to talk to us and made sure we was safe very nice to kids and cared about the safety for everyone with the blizzard. And they took the time to clear a path through the snow so we can get in and out of the place.
Stunning lake views, gorgeous room, comfy bed, helpful staff and great location for enjoying the village centre.
We booked this as a last minute stop off on a long roadtrip and were incredibly impressed. Parking was also very easy.
We're now looking to return to Big Bear Lake and will stay here again
The log cabins are very unique and come with their own fireplace. You can get some firewood from the office and get right into the comforting warmth. Parking on site - it is very quiet although right off the main road. Big rooms in an alpine style charm.
I go to hike the trails and Bear Creek is just down the road from my favorite trail and just up the road from my favorite restaurant. The cabins are nice and every time I have stayed, the staff has been extremely friendly and helpful.
This is probably the best Hotel I have ever stayed in period. The best staff ever, clean comfy rooms, free soft and hot drinks, free baked cakes and popcorn. The entire place is well decorated and smells so nice. Just perfect.
Nice location and like the forest like place & cabins. No breakfast available. Not able to work out the TV.
I wanted some tea and there was none available. No access to drinking water in the first floor to warm up water.
Breakfast - nice surprise. Very good - location hotel staff cleanliness! This is our 2nd stay. Yes! Definitely we will be staying here again in Oct. great value- no hassle- perfect for families!!
