St. Albans has a lot of history for the history buff.
St. Albans has a lot of history for the history buff. The restaurants are very competitive for price and quality and their main st is beautiful. Access to lake Champlain is free and the sunsets gorgeous.

You can find beautiful mountain and waterfront views in St.
You can find beautiful mountain and waterfront views in St. Albans. There is a downtown area with shops and restaurants. Also a weekend market in the park with maple syrups, handmade goods, and produce. Make sure to stop at Maple City Diner for breakfast! Not a far drive from the city of Burlington either. Great stay.
I arrived late in the evening, the hotel was notified in advance and I was greeted by a friendly fellow at the reception desk. I had seen some worrying comments on earlier posts but I didn't find any of those problems. The hotel was clean, the staff inviting and the room comfortable. That a full breakfast was available was an added bonus and added value to my stay. The hotel is a bit on the periphery but that is reflected in the price. I would stay there again.
We chose the La Quinta by Wyndham St. Albans for its location -- we were coming to view the April 8 2024 total solar eclipse and the hotel, with its generous parking areas and broad expanses of lawn provided us with an excellent place to view the eclipse, while able to to walk from our room to the viewing area without needing to use our car for the entire two nights and busy eclipse day. Absolutely wonderful (and the eclipse was spectacular as well).
The breakfast, made to order, by the innkeeper was delicious! The dining area is spacious, looking out over a very impressive garden in the side yard, with many lovely plantings. The inn is convenient to the main street of St Albans city, with a number of stores and restaurants, and easily reached from the expressway to Burlington and Canada.
The hotel was excellent, beds extremely comfortable, room was very spacious, the staff was fantastic (from front desk to the cleaning staff , everyone was professional, friendly, I can’t say enough great things about them!!!)
It is most definitely pet friendly! King suite is spacious with a couch, TV, desk, mini fridge and microwave. Bathroom was big too. The hotel is located right off of the highway ramp but is surprisingly quiet.
Everything! Location was close to shops, restaurants, and downtown. Staff was very welcoming. Daily breakfast. Clean, comfortable rooms. Very nice hotel.
