One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as "America’s Walking City". In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. In the nearby seaport, you can take a whale-watching trip or dine at one of the many restaurants serving a Boston specialty: lobster with melted butter.
The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modeled on the 80's sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book "Make Way for Ducklings". The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.
The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.
Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.
The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

Boston is a terrific city - good people and a wide choice of quality restaurants and wonderful history. I particularly enjoyed a walk through the grounds of Harvard and the Freedom Walk (which takes several hours but takes you through the city from Boston Common to Bunker Hill). I recommend doing the audio tour for $9.95USD. It stops and starts along the route by using GPS - great information. I also recommend Falafel King (you'll find it on the Freedom Trail route) - delicious, fresh grilled meats, salads in wraps. Their baklava is the best I've ever eaten.

People are so rude.
People are so rude. I'm a born and raised Masshole and a transplant southerner. I should be used to it.
However, when you're away from it for so long (5 years), you don't want to deal with it and find it disrespectful.
I almost got into a ton of fights:
Getting road rage from walking behind stupid people that feel the need to walk super slow (when there are appointments to get to) while they desperately feel the urge to take up an entire sidewalk. Can't walk on the street, I almost got run over more than once by cars not caring if you're in the crosswalk, they still come right at you. Some stopped. But not many.
One lady stepped off the T and immediately stopped to check her phone right outside the doors. Blocking everyone else from exiting the train. I had a few choice words for her.
It reminded me of why I left that horrible state of Massachusetts.

We loved our stay at the hotel Revere.
We loved our stay at the hotel Revere. The room was spacious, nice big comfy beds, nice city view and location of the hotel was excellent in walking distance to most sightseeing and public transport if needed. We dinned at the hotel restaurant a few times and enjoyed the food. We also had a couple of drinks in the bar. In general a very pleasant hotel and there's free coffee or tea in the lobby❤️there's also a rooftop restaurant but it was closed for the season when we stayed. We would love to stay here again next time we visit Boston

Great city! I am a southern gal but I loved this town!
Great city! I am a southern gal but I loved this town! Much better than NYC! SO much history and I felt very safe everywhere I went. There is no shortage of things to do, places to eat, tours to take, shopping to do and people to talk to. Legal Seafood for the Clam Chowda is a must! Take the Freedom Trail tour and make sure your guide is Jeremiah Poope! Use the commuter rail and go to Salem for the Witch Walking Tour. Take the water taxis too. Take a trip out to Martha's Vineyard. I wish we had stayed the night! It is beautiful! It is a short 45 minute ferry to the island. You can rent a car and drive to the landing or take the Peterpan bus line to get you there. It is about 65 miles to cape cod to the landing at Woods Hole. Pleasant drive! I loved Boston and I will go back.

We came to Boston to attend a concert at the MGM venue.
We came to Boston to attend a concert at the MGM venue. We spent two days seeing the sites but that was not enough to take in everything. What we did see was worth the time. We took the Hop-on Hop-off trolly tour, but it would have been less expensive and more convenient if we had used the Uber or Lyft rides and this would have allowed even more time to enjoy the sites we visited. We also attended an unplanned tour of Harvard University. I my opinion this is overrated. The young lady (Anie) who was our tour guide did a great job, but they were doing yard cleanup with machinery and a lot of what she said we couldn't even hear.

Boston is so accessible, I loved it!
Boston is so accessible, I loved it! I’m not used to being able to walk anywhere so having so much right outside the door of the hotel tickled me to death. I wiped exploring their transit options, trying many many cocktails in the pubs, and enjoyed some amazing food. I really love Boston and I’ll definitely be back. Preferably when it’s a bit warmer.
Comfortable bed, clean room upon arrival. Despite not having ceiling lights in the room, the 3 lamp shades were very bright and sufficient to light up the room after sunset. Location is great for attending a conference at the nearby conference centre while not being too far away from everything else as downtown is pretty walkable from the hotel. As we had a late flight out of Boston, the hotel was able to store our luggages and provide us with access to the gym to freshen up and shower before we headed to the airport. It was much appreciated.
This is the third time I have stayed at the Lenox Hotel in the last 10 years when visiting Boston and the primary reason is its location. For me the best part of Boston is the Back Bay Area and no hotel is better place to experience this. A short walk and you can experience dining and shopping of good quality in the nicest part of Boston. The hotel staff are always helpful and there is a feeling that nothing is too much trouble.
Great bang for your buck. Really cheap for a weekend stay at a major city. Even though you're in the outskirts of Boston, you can get to downtown really easy. The hotel has a shuttle service that takes you to the Train station 2.5 miles away. From there you can take the train anywhere for only $2.40 per ride. There's a grocery store within 10 minutes walking in case you forgot something or want save on food costs.
I love the room and that the hotel was right in the center of downtown. Everything was within walking distance plus at night the city looks so different very pretty. I drove 2 hours away to get to Boston and was very pleased with this hotel and it's staff. Also I love that each floor had a filter water machine with bottles I think I visited that machine one time to many 😂
The bed was comfortable. The room was larger than normal. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good as well. The decorations were cute. Everything in Boston is expensive, so while this hotel is more than I normally would pay per night, it was less expensive than those in downtown and had free parking.
Our room (two queen beds) was clean and spacious. Hotel is very basic with a small elevator and few amenities but is in an excellent location near Boston Common, downtown, and Chinatown and only about a block from Tufts Medical Center metro stop which makes it easy to transfer to and from the airport.
The location was great, Boston downtown with close access and a walking distance to city attractions. Overall the hotel was okay, but I would expect more from a Hyatt hotel. The beds and the room were okay, and the room amenities (mini fridge, coffee and coffee maker, ...), and the shower were okay.
The Hotel is well located close enough (walking distance) to the the South Boston train station and Boston downtown and major attractions near the downtown area. A subway station entrance is just a few meters away from the hotel door. Room is big and comfortable with a very big TV and nice bathroom.
- bed was comfortable
- room was quiet
- bathroom was clean
- a short walk to public transportation to downtown Boston
- complimentary airport shuttle
- friendly staff at the reception
- don't need to use elevator, staircase has painted walls and looks more inviting than at many other hotels
Unbeatable location. Close to the subway and Boston Common and walking distance from the main attractions downtown like Quincy Market, North end, etc.
Staff was super friendly and professional
The lobby of the hotel allows for comfortably sitting down and get some work done.
The hotel and complimentary services was astounding! Best hotel I’ve stayed in for the price. We didn’t want to leave. They offer free bus and boat shuttles to downtown Boston. The room, bathroom, and view were fantastic! Great complimentary parking and valet service.
The room was great. The location of the hotel was good, close to Massachusetts General Hospital and to downtown Boston. The price was reasonable as compared with other hotels in the area. I would consider this property in my next stay in Boston.
The location of this hotel is ideal. It is very close to the downtown Boston historical sites, including the old state building and Faneuil Hall, an easy walk to the north end and to Boston Commons.
Excellent boutique hotel. Comfortable and clean bedrooms. Very central location - middle of Boston not that big and so can walk pretty to everything. Will definitely come back.
Luxurious casino hotel on the Mystic River. Lots of amenities and a great casino. Rooms are beautiful. Rates are good. And a nice amenity is free ferry to downtown Boston.
Super Location for all tourist attractions bars and restaurants, great little boutique hotel lovely staff,100% staying there next time we arrive into the Boston!!!
