I was not pleased at all!! When I booked the room they told me breakfast was included, well it wasn't I paid almost $58 for a few bags of candy after just paying almost $400 for dinner! I stay at one of the Hilton in Rochester ny breakfast was free and fantastic mind you. All employees were very courteous and wonderful, not in auburn!! Then Friday night I went down to the lobby to smoke a cigarette and almost got punched in my face because a fight broke out absolutely ridiculous! A counter worker told me they had a few functions going on and that happens sometimes, I had my kids there that is not OK! Then I pay for 2 nights and only stayed one because of what had happened our whole stay never got my money back for that 2nd night we didn't stay! I will never visit that facility again

The hotel was very nice, the room very pretty and comfortable, we had a mini fridge and microwave in the room. in our floor there was a washer and a dryer so I love the fact that I could wash and dry our clothes. The girl at the reception was very nice to us and helpful

The location was excellent for the eclipse. The breakfast was minimal but had enough to eat and fill up. TV worked great. The shower had excellent pressure. The owners and workers were very helpful (with suggestions and directions).

Nothing about it. When we got to the hotel we found out our reservation was canceled and it was confirmed on my phone until we walked through the door of the hotel the owner of the hotel was smug nasty did not care that our reservation was canceled and we drove 3 hours to stay at that Motel I was supposed to get an answer back from booking.com as I wrote a review because nobody knows who canceled my reservation and my husband is very ill and this gentleman did not care he got more money for the room that we booked and that was all that he was about I am still waiting for an answer from booking.com as to who actually canceled my reservation 3 hours on the road to get there and not have a room and now I'm out $500 because we had to go to another hotel very displeased with hotels.com and the hotel. This hotel gets a zero rating from me and should not even be on your site
Auburn is great (not the Day's Inn in July, 2023).
Auburn is great (not the Day's Inn in July, 2023). The city suffered in the urban renewal of the late '60's and '70's, but has a great theater program, good restaurants (with many of them a good step above!), a couple of good breweries, museums and amazing history. This is the place where the fundamentals of sound movies were invented. It's where the world's larges rope maker and marine cordage mfr were based. Very popular women's shoes (first half of 20th century) were located here. Remington farm implements, International Harvester farm implements, lots of science discoveries and more... Delve into this place, by all means. Visit Owasco Lake, go see other towns and all of the Finger Lakes, Auburn makes a nice base. Just choose a good hotel and spoil yourself.

The check in using the kiosk took way too long!
The check in using the kiosk took way too long! over 20 minutes! The system is way too slow. Also sound wasn't good...took too long to get the key cards. we finally got the cards and they didn't work! We were pressed for time after all the nonsense. I had to get new key cards and the lady in the office gave them to me in less than a minute! Why I has to use the kiosk when she was just sitting in the office while I was very upset it was taking so long! We should have had plenty of time to get ready for a wedding but we just made it! The room also had a funny smell when ate air conditioner was on.

There is lots to do in this region.
There is lots to do in this region. We visited over fourth of July. First evening, had a delightful dinner on the veranda at Oak & Vale restaurant at Springside Inn. Delicious. Spent a day on Owasco Lake and visited several waterfalls which are always lot of fun. Wear hiking shoes or good sneakers as the rocks can be very slippery when wet/damp. Stopped in to the Harriet Tubman House but it was closed due to CoVid-19 restrictions. Alas, it was one of the main reasons we came to the area.
Had an outstanding brunch at the Aurora Inn and walked through the quirky/charming little town of Aurora. Visited MacKenzie-Childs near Aurora. My wife loved it. Beautiful property. We stumbled upon a winery near Aurora called "Long Point"; not one of the big ones, but the wine was very good and brought home a case. Staff are great but ask for Russ. Very knowledgeable and lots of fun. Spent about two hours there. A great place to spend the afternoon especially if it is raining or really hot.
Stopped into Skaneateles on the way home which is a quaint town with shopping and several good restaurants. Plan to spend a couple of hours along the waterfront. Visit the town pier; it gives a great view of some of the fabulous mansions nearby. It is also right next to the tour boat (we didn't have time to go on the boat). We ate at the Blue Water Grill which is on the water and next to the town pier. Not bad. Portions are large, and are shareable. The Skaneateles Bakery is also great little spot.

A printed receipt, inquiry from staff on stay, don't bunch us up
in one corner other patrons were inconsiderate of TV noise and slamming doors at all hours. Not sure of final price and non commital of other charge and return of funds due on 7-15-2020.
The staff was exceptional and loved the evening attendant who was the BEST attention to detail and provided unbelievable courtesy to us arriving late. Highly recommend the breakfast service and the wonderful service provided the waitress who gave us and the whole restaurant incredible Family-like service.
Highly recommend the hotel and compliments to the Management Staff for their customer service training.
Loved everything about it. Location was great the place is cleaner then any hotel room cant say enough about .Bob & Elaine are great host and very nice welcoming people.
spent our 50th wedding anniversary there from 07/07/23 til 07/10/23 . would highly recommend Serenity on the lake to everyone you will not be disappointed.
It was easy to check in and out. Parking was great. The room had everything I would want-TV, frig, microwave, and hair dryer. It was on the first floor and convenient to the place I came to visit in Auburn. It was an excellent basic motel.
Perfect set-up for 2-3 adults. Safe area. King size bed was very comfortable. The view from the apartment was wonderful - pretty street view. Noise from pub downstairs was louder on weekends, but it never bothered us. Added to be ambiance…
There was no breakfast available. The rooms were very small and dated. No activities available on site. I expected a more modern hotel however this was not what we received. The hotel had a musty smell to it and needs a major makeover.
2 comfortable queen beds, full kitchen, hot shower and a one floor open space which is ideal for our elderly dog. Great location for visiting Auburn, Seward’s house and Tubman house(closed for renovation). Highly recommend!
very friendly staff at reception, breakfast, bar / Restaurant, cleaning lady- Good Job!
Location is very good, Restaurant offers really Good Food for very fair prices. Hotel is clean, we can Highly recommend the hotel
There was no breakfast at this location. There was no room service, even after we complained. The hotel is dated from the 1970s and has never been upgraded. We were very disappointed.
