It's the first time we have stayed in Pine River and it is still very early spring in this Lake Country area of Minnesota. But we knew that. Went to a local church Sunday morning in Pine River, and visited the Cozy Cottage Restaurant early this morning before we drove back to Green Bay, Wisconsin. We enjoyed the entire experience and we were not alone in that regard, We met several travelers staying at the Rodeway Inn where we stayed and they were from the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota and came up for a couple days. Three brought their bikes and were about to ride 130 miles on the Paul Bunyan Byway Trail. The other couple drove up to get out of the Cities and spend the weekend driving around the many lakes, doing some antique shopping, and dining out in the many great restaurants in this Lake Country tourist mecca.
