IT IS A VERY SHORT DISTANCE FOR INDIANA UNIVERSITY.
IT IS A VERY SHORT DISTANCE FOR INDIANA UNIVERSITY. THE DOWNTOWN AREA WAS CUTE WITH MANY SMALL SHOPS. THE B-LINE TRAIL IS VERY CLOSE, A GREAT PLACE TO WALK AND I AM SURE ON THE WEEKENDS THERE WOULD BE VENDORS. MANY DIFFERENT RESTAURANTS TO DINE, SHOPPING, AND GREAT PARKS CLOSE.

Bloomington has it all.
Bloomington has it all. There are great parks and golf courses nearby. Tons of activity on campus for travelers and sports enthusiasts. Awesome architecture. The city is charming and gives small town vibes, but also has the cultural diversity of a big city. The bars and restaurants are top notch, from cozy dive, to fine dining. Shopping is great as well, with retail and chains stores to upscale boutiques and handmade. There is something for everyone here.

We've visited Bloomington several times since leaving, but haven't lived here for more than half a century. Not many old folks will come back to visit after that time and say "Hey, this place was wonderful back then--and it's even better now."

The Uptown Cafe' was a highlight-We had the Crawfish Etouffe' and the Seafood gumbo, they were amazing! Loved all the architecture of the city-old and new. Drive around and love the scenery-visit the Bill Monroe museum-it's a Mecca for anyone who loves Bluegrass or Country music. Costumes from Dolly Parton, Rhonda Vincent, Minnie pearl, and so many more. Visit the Bean Blossom bridge-built in 1800's. Brown County state park is gorgeous! Being there in April it was quiet, and so peaceful.

The rooms are typical.
The rooms are typical. The hotel is nice and is in a good location if you need to be downtown. It isn't very far from campus either. There is nothing special about this hotel. It is a Hyatt. The only complaint I really have was the pool. We stayed New Year's eve night. The pool was freezing cold! It's winter. The room should have been extremely warm and the water very warm. It wasn't and in fact it was COLD!
Clean, well appointed cabins. Small space but good enough for a family with two pre-teen kids. Nice deck with views into the woods - particularly beautiful in the fall. Private fire-pit and picnic tables. First things the kids said was "no tv?!" We consider that a positive. Communication from the owners was excellent. If you are open to a cabin experience in an RV park not too far from Bloomington this is a good choice. We would definitely stay here again.
The Hampton Inn is an exceptional and reasonably priced hotel for Bloomington, IN. My room was clean and modern with, most importantly, a very comfortable bed and pillow. Free parking in a well-lit lot is also a plus. The free breakfast was also good quality with a decent variety of things to east and drink. I will be glad to stay there again.
The coffee at their coffee bar is excellent. Students are studying when you walk in so it's very quiet. This hotel was by far the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, and I have stayed in many hotels. I felt safe and at home. The beds are cozy and gives you a grandmas house feel. I loved it. Check in was the fantastic.
We loved being there. So much nicer than a motel/hotel. The folks were gentle and lovely. The courtyard looked sweet.
It was quiet all night. And mostly it felt lovely to be there. I’d go back in a heartbeat! Breakfast was meager but the omelet man made perfect eggs! Oh! The coffee was great. Many thanks to all!
Great location and staff. Room was nicely appointed and the outdoor garden/patio area was lovely. The bathroom is smaller than some, but not a big deal. The hotel is obviously undergoing renovations as stated ok a posted sign. We will stay there again when in the area! Very handy to IU and downtown Bloomington.
Excellent breakfast- hot breakfast and it was different everyday. Also, we were greeted each afternoon with fresh baked cookies or muffins. Lovely mugs of tea in the evening. Great service, Innkeeper David was a highlight! Great location- walk to campus or walk to all of the great restaurants.
The location is excellent and the staff were amazing. Extremely clean room. The whole place has a "Star's Hollow" from Gilmore Girls vibe. If you need to be in Bloomington, Indiana for any reason, this is the place to stay.
The thing I like the most is the hotel is not too far from the university and downtown. There are a lot of things (food and gas) that are not too far either.
Free bottled water as long as you stay is a great plus! Great price and decent location, one of the cleanest and roomy hotel I visited at this price range.
