Pelican inn, hotel in Aransas Pass

Pelican inn is located in Aransas Pass, 22 miles from American Bank Center Convention Center.

Not a bad place, was generally clean but is a bit dated as it’s an older property, typical handyman kind of work. Definitely a good value for the money and the location was very convenient to our activities in the area. The beat computable room prices in Port Arkansas for sure.

    I love Aransas Pass.

I love Aransas Pass. Lots of good restaurants, and some world class fishing guides. Slowride Guide Service to name one! Getting around AP is easy, It's still the sleepy Texas costal town that I remember. However, that seems to be changing as more and more people discover this little Gem.

Aransas Pass is a great little Texas Coastal town with nice people and all the amenities one needs. HEB and WalMart in town as well as many different types of eateries. Also, there are many other great places to visit all within 20-30 minutes of AP as well whether you drive towards Rockport or Portland/Corpus Christi. Conn Brown Harbor has more than enough room for truck and trailer parking after boat launching, although the docks do get crowded as the guides seem to just sit and take up space. (Not sure if this is just during the week when it's not super busy, or on the weekends also). Roy's Tackle is a must in Corpus (30 minutes) and TackleTown in Rockport is another must (20 minutes) for any and all fishermen! If you want to eat seafood in the area, make sure you go out before you get super hungry, folks are traveling in large numbers right now and wait times are extremely long to get tables. 1-1.5hrs minimum everywhere that are worth going! I HIGHLY recommend Paradise Key (Great food and Excellent service) and Crab-N (OUTSTANDING food and very inexperienced service providers, but polite and trying hard). The only negative I had was DO NOT stay at the Super 8 Hotel, they charged my credit card twice and were very rude and I'm still fighting with them 3 days after returning home trying to get a refund between them and my bank! But, that is not a reflection on Aransas Pass, just that one business.

    Hometown, where I grew up.

Hometown, where I grew up. Always a pleasure to go back, may move back permanently or may just visit more. Lots of beautiful beaches and water and some really great food. Plus tons of friendly people. Look up my friend Hector Rios at Coastal Kayaks, take a kayak tour.
