Hallways very loud . Young cleaning guy had his music playing from his phone while singing very loud . Also one night at 3 am something crashed and broke in the hallway. It was very loud which sounded like a bunch of glass breaking . It woke from my sleep. Took them a while to clean it up and they were loud doing so .
Pool person pressure washing the pool was very loud as well . Hard to sleep .

The smoky mountains are nice but Gatlinburg is just a money pit. If you want to experience the smoky mountains I would recommend just staying in Pigeon Forge or Sevierville and driving to the mountains. Gatlinburg itself is like a mile long gift shop/ flea market of triple priced goods. 2 two litter mountain dews were over $13

Gatlinburg was a glitzy tourist trap, which we didn’t expect or appreciate. The artist community was a major plus, but the woman at the welcome store was insulting and arrogant, exactly the wrong person for the job.

Gatlinburg is a one strip town of wineries, shineries, and some adventure parks. BUT, it sits on the north end of an absolutely gorgeous national park that is free to enter and explore. Use the free trolley if you can, because all public parking on the strip is $20 one entry and travel on the strip is slow and easily frustrating. The mountain attractions like Ober, Anakeesta, and Skypark are the best parts and definite to-do's. Restaurants are mostly chains and it was difficult to find "local flavor". All the emphasis on booze means you will run into drunken tourists while walking the strip. Stay a week, do some outdoors stuff, explore the Smokies.

I should have done more research on what to do outside of Gatlinburg. The main town was a tourist trap with the chain restaurants and souvenir shops, old time photo shops and taffy candy stores. Parking was between $10-$20 at each lot, and it was crowded for end of April. Aside from the skywalk, I wasn’t too impressed. However driving along rt441 through the Smokies was the biggest highlight of the trip. It’s a stunning location, just find something to do outside the hub.
Greystone Lodge on the river is a great choice. My first time in Gatlinburg I searched hotels and I think I picked the best one. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed it so much we came back the next year for vacation. Beautiful views of the river and town from our room, friendly and helpful staff, free parking, free breakfast with lots of options, clean spacious room, within walking distance of many attractions. I give this hotel 5 stars!
Room size and hotel location are the two biggest reason I chose this hotel. The size is the largest among hotels I searched in that area. We have family of three plus a big dog. A large room is preferred. The hotel is at a best location to us. It is at the edge of the downtown Gatlinburg. It's convenient to walk to downtown. However it's quiet and does not have the heavy crowd around the building.
Amazing location - a short walk to downtown but out of the bustle of the town centre. Free convenient parking and only a short drive into the national park which was the reason for our visit. The apartment was clean and comfortable, brand new and modern decor, really made us feel at home! Thanks Laurie for a fantastic stay in Gatlinburg.
great location to see downtown Gatlinburg from! park in their lot and walk to most everything! the hotel was great! very comfortable beds, friendly staff, great breakfast….we sat on our balcony and watched the chair lift go up and down the mountain! I highly recommend this beautiful historical hotel!
The location is in walking distance of everything in Gatlinburg. The overall experience with the hotel is very nice and clean. The staff was very nice. We really like staying there if you want to see bears, they’re right there. And the pools are very clean
Loved how you keep fire pits on at all times and keep pools open and food until 11!!!!
A lot of hotels close a littler earlier and I really enjoyed it and would stay again. Staff doesn’t really bother you and lets you have a good time! Major plus
The location was perfect! Even though the room was outdated it was still a decent price to be right on the strip of Gatlinburg a short walk from hotel to all the attractions. Most of the staff was really friendly!
The hotel sits on the river however, the balcony looks at the street. The bed was comfortable and the hotel is out of all the main foot traffic of downtown gatlinburg, however within walking distance.
This is an excellent location that was directly on the river. The staff was extremely friendly and inviting. This hotel is within walking distance of the main strip of Gatlinburg, which is a huge plus.
Small room, outdated, but clean. Bed was comfortable.
It was located on a river, so it was very peaceful and quiet. It was a few minutes from the fray of downtown Gatlinburg which was nice.
Convenient to everything in downtown Gatlinburg. Walking distance to everything. Beautiful hotel and service is excellent. We’ve stayed at this location several times since it opened.
The location is excellent for downtown Gatlinburg. You have restaurants, convenience stores, shops, attractions, entertainment, and night clubs all within 2 blocks of the hotel.
The bears that were close to the hotels.
Wild life is the best here.
It was perfect located to go walking to the downtown.
A lot of stuff to do in Gatlinburg.
