Queens is more modern and you have plenty of choices for food. I'm an Asian and the food in Queens are little bit different than Chinatown so really depends on the preference. One thing I do notice are Queens has more Malls, big malls so is easy to shop for clothing. And also the hotel cost and parking are little bit cheaper than downtown. If you don't mind to take metro, Queens are good option.

Perfect location, excellent service & beautiful room! Our family enjoyed every minute of our stay at Hyatt Place Flushing. This amazing hotel is just steps away from the finest restaurants & stores in town. We simply love the energy and positive vibes being downtown. The best part is the hotel service - Michael took great care of us! He is exceptional in every way and we can’t be happier! Highly recommended - we’ll be back soon again!!

Perfect location. Don't let the first block or 2 fool you once you walk towards Gantry Plaza State Park its a different world perfect location. Value for money for a hotel near Manhattan especially for someone travelling from Europe. Also near subway stations about 5 mins away. The Breakfast was OK for a quick snack on the go shame they don't do hot food like scrambled eggs etc. The staff were pleasant and friendly.

The hotel is pretty close from the Line F Subway station 21st Street–Queensbridge, about 7-8 mins by walk. The room was pretty small, however the bed was comfortable, the room was pretty okay for the price. It had all the stuff we needed: coffee machine, microwave, decent fridge, hair dryer. I'd suggest this hotel if you are on a tight budget, and you'd rather spend your money on experiences, food etc. in NYC.

This hotel in "Latin" Queens might be an option for a short stay, but be prepared for basic facilities. While the location is convenient - close to trains for Manhattan and JFK access, with a free LGA shuttle nearby - the rooms themselves are nothing special. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance, but it's not ideal for a longer stay. The view was great, but that's about it.
