Howard Johnson by Wyndham Branson Theatre District, hotel in Branson

Nestled in the Ozark Mountains, 14 miles from Branson Airport™ (BKG) and 56 miles from Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF), Howard Johnson by Wyndham Branson Theater District welcomes you with...

The first room we stayed in was filthy. It smelled horrid, musty and stale. The carpet was absolutely filthy. The bed was leaning when we sat on it and the sheets and blanket on the bed (it did not even have a comforter on it) was filthy and smelled. We asked to upgrade our room, because we couldn’t stay in that room. The room we upgraded to was cleaner, the bed was like sleeping on the floor. We have never been so sore and couldn’t sleep due to it. The floor was tiled and cleaner, but the bathroom and shower were yucky. I didn’t wash my hair the entire visit due to it. The towels were awful. The door lock was broken. It was a reasonably priced room through this website, but it was an awful place to stay. Good location. We also added an extra day on at check in and the staff said it was complete, yet we had to leave a day early due to the staff saying our request was complete and it actually wasn’t. We didn’t mind, we couldn’t sleep and wanted to leave regardless. I do not recommend staying there at all.

Everything was as listed! Very clean. I packed alot of things not knowing what to expect would be included. They think of everything! I didn't have to use any of our own supplies. Very quiet, off the busy path of Branson. They have activities every day going on.

The Stone Castle Hotel & Conference Center, hotel in Branson

This Branson, Missouri hotel features 2 indoor pools and 2 hot tubs. Guest rooms include free WiFi and the hotel is a 3-minute drive from the Titanic Museum and the Hollywood Wax Museum.

The location is perfect…easy to quickly get to places. And, the breakfast was fantastic and delicious! Hats off to this place for also serving breakfast to their staff. Breakfast staff was very nice, also. And, loved that they keep the pool and hot tub area open until midnight. This is nice for guests from out-of-town who are enjoying outside events until late, but would still like to return to enjoy the pool facilities. Also, love that it’s a smoke-free hotel.

    wanted to see a show.

wanted to see a show. But- at $300 for 2 it did NOT make good sense. Dinner was also expensive, in my opinion, at $40 for 2, swahi passed off as southern fish, what, southern vietnam? Catfish was expected. Dont think we will ever return.

    Branson was fun.

Branson was fun. The production at Sight and Sound Theater was fantastic as was the Titanic Museum. We spent time at The Landing which was also nice. Our hotel was good, and the local food options were also good. We will definitely go back. Getting around in Branson is fine with GPS, but the traffic is a bit heavy. Our trip was fun and we have look forward to our next trip there.

If you don't have kids go before school is out for the summer. Minimal crowds and easy access to any thing you want to do. Since they have all the outer roads complete, it is really easy to get around town.

Branson, if you know your way around, it a nice place to...

Branson, if you know your way around, it a nice place to visit. We went to Branson Landing just to walk around, ate at Shogun's (and had a great chef there), and spent some time walking around Silver Dollar City (expensive, but we have season passes - it makes taking our grandchildren there during the summer and for Christmas a little cheaper and gets us into WhiteWater as well). However, I grew up around there, so I know many of the back roads and shortcuts around town so I don't have to deal with the traffic issues that most visitors have to deal with. If you drive the main drag it can take forever to get around. Familiarize yourself with the different routes (red, yellow, and blue) that will help you get around town easier. There are some good shows - again, it can be a bit expensive. We are planning a miniature golf trip to Branson in July with one of our granddaughters. Lots of different courses to play with some trips to the mountain coasters, WhiteWater, and Tanger Outlet Mall thrown in.

Branson has become a money trap.

Branson has become a money trap. The price has doubled in the last year and the quality is less than half of what it used to be. Don't eat at starving Marvin's buffet it's hands down the worst food in Branson and the most expensive.

The indoor pool was one of the best hotel pools I've ever been in. The jacuzzi was standard, but that pool was incredible. We asked for towels, and the staff gave us an entire bag of towels. When you ask for a couple towels, you normally get a couple towels, and you have to plan and preserve towels throughout your stay. We received an entire bag of towels. A+++. Some of the times, the big things make a huge difference, and some of the times, it's the little things. We experienced both on this trip, and it made our vacation great!!!

This property has fabulous views and is close to the activities of Branson, but without being in the middle of it. We had access to the condo via a key code on the door. The owners were the most helpful. We booked it on booking.com, but had direct contact with the owners. They were friendly and made sure everything was good for our stay. The price was great, for our family of 8. It was nice to have a quiet place to call home, after being busy the week prior and the long drive. The beds were soft and the bathrooms are roomy.

I have just spent 22 nights in the USA and stayed in 14 different hotels. This was the best of them all. The room was good, the breakfast was good, a daily service was provided (unlike most of the other hotels), the pool was very refreshing at the end of a hot day, and it was a bonus for the hotel to provide dessert after 9pm each night.
