Location was good. Bacon was undercooked and sausage seemed tough. Blackened chicken sandwich was good

Well I was hoping for more time for personal use, but the time I did have with a nice gentleman I met went quite well. We had an oral debate about several issues., with which I love to swallow all the knowledge possible. It was quite enjoyable. I hope to be back soon!

Chico is a fabulous little town.
Chico is a fabulous little town. So out of the way that it still retains lots of charm, Mom's for breakfast is fabulous. A walk through Bidwell Park is a great way to see something that is truly unique...a natural swimming pool with river in and out

The downtown area, right by the State University is kind of hit and miss, many businesses are either open for short hours or not at all, many store fronts were in transition, some well established businesses but the City is still going through some significant economic challenges.
The homeless situation is not getting any better, the fact they are hanging out and using public parks is not ideal, it is a safety issue for both visitors and students, something the City needs to take into their hands more seriously.
There is plenty of land around the City to plan for some type of facilities for the homeless, so the downtown can come back to thriving and be a safe and clean place to do business and visit.
Most cities are dealing with the same issue, it's a National issue.
Some good places for drinks and food, of course, being a college town, lots of good value.

I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel.
I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. I was told by the desk clerk that I had a very quiet room but I was awakened several times throughout the night due to excessive noise both from above me and in the parking lot.
Cars playing loud music with heavy bass frequented the lot all night long! The room above me sounded like a workout gym!
The people next door tried to open the common door between the rooms twice. Fortunately, I kept my side secured!
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a quiet room for the evening.
Also, the "types" hanging out in the area looked a bit shady. I looked up the crime stats of the area and they were very high with assaults and muggings being the most along with occasional nearby murders.
Finding another spot to stay is my advice!

Chico is a fine place we have family there but the hotel was a real disappointment after driving for 31/2 hrs and just wanted to rest we had to try and find another place for our family. Even the drapes I’n the room had holes all over them like bugs had eaten them or something.

Chico is well known for its parks and walkable areas.
Chico is well known for its parks and walkable areas. Many stores in several different areas for shopping: world market, barnes & noble, cost co. Shopping malls and many big box stores. Good variety of restaurants. Chico has a several one way roads. Weather can be extremely hot and dry.
When visiting Chico, we usually stay at the Hotel Diamond. But the hotel was full, and we only needed a room for one night. This studio apartment looked like a nice alternative to the hotel. Instructions for check-in were thorough and clear. The owner called upon check-in to confirm that everything was in place in the unit. We especially appreciated the secured garage parking and private entrance! Walking distance to the University, downtown & Bidwell Park. Couldn't ask for better accommodations in Chico! Will definitely stay again!
DO NOT GO HERE! The place is filthy! The flooring was coming off in the room. Dirty sheets and mattresses. People drinking and smoking outside your room. Bad maintenance. The room was dirty and it smelled horrible. The living conditions did not seem safe so we left the hotel 2 mins after check-in. It felt so unsafe that we just got out and drove away from the property. It seemed more like a homeless shelter than a place for travelers to stay.
Worst stay ever! Filthy AF! I paid for two days and only stayed one day!! I tried to get a refund both Price Line and the Hotel Manager refused to give me a refund! Cigarette burns on stinky dirty blankets, sticky dirty floors, towels were stained black and brown. Looked like blood and dirt all over the doors. We slept on top of plastic bags to not get bedbugs! Fckn gross place. I will never buy through your site again!!
The room was quite clean and an open space design. I liked the fact it came with laundry and wi-fi (although I couldn't use either due to unforeseen circumstances). My trip was during a storm, so unfortunate timing. There were clean dishes ready, trash bags and two separate bins for recycling and trash (with a helpful recycling guide on the fridge alongside the Wi-Fi password), Ice cube trays in the freezer.
The room (King Room with 2 king beds) was very large and comfortable. It was also facing the back side of the hotel, so the surroundings were quiet. There was traffic audible from Hwy 99 behind the hotel, but not loud enough to be a nuisance. Located next to several strip malls with lots of shops and restaurants, which was convenient. Also, within 10 minute drive of downtown Chico, which is very pleasant.
Great staff at reception (I always enjoy and anticipate my chocolate chip cookies). Hotel is always very clean and staff is attentive. Lobby, lounge and dining room are very inviting and one of the nicest in town. I really appreciated the large walk in shower. At a certain age getting into a bath tub shower can be tricky. Bathrooms are very well appointed with quality shower items
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our phones weren’t working and the reception staff let us use their personal phone for a call. The breakfast lady let us stay in the room to drink our coffee past the closure time. The night clerk that checked us in was very friendly and gave us some insights about the area.
we stayed the weekend for Oktoberfest, the hotel was disgusting! found three cockroaches in our room and when we told the staff they offered bug spray like it wasn’t a big deal. The room also smelled like throw up. The only good thing is the location being close to down town!
The staff was excellent. My room was very nice. All my favorite restaurants are in walking distance. Mall is right across the street. All my favorite stores are across the street. This is the only hotel I will be staying at when I visit Chico
The location in proximity to downtown Chico. The house had many appliances. The host left bacon and eggs to cook for breakfast. It's comparable to the rates you find for a hotel. Great for a family on budget. The house was clean.
Good value, clean. Surprisingly quiet. This is a budget motel and the building is older, but the mattress was comfortable, it had fitted sheets, friendly staff and more room than others in us class and price.
It’s our go to hotel whenever we come to Chico. Rooms are spacious, hot breakfast included, central location. We stay a few times a year while visiting family.
The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the bed was quite comfortable. The make-up remover in the bathroom was a bonus since I had forgotten mine.
