We stayed at Mustapha’s Place for nine nights with our 1 and 4 year old. The staff were incredible and so friendly. The pool and playground were so fun for our little ones. The food is really great and priced at a good value. I highly recommend this place for families looking to get off the beaten track and want a truly Zanzibar holiday. We will definitely come back!

A magical place. It was a tropical paradise. Each room is like a little bungalow with a little outside sitting area. The restaurant was fabulous. (This was great because we went during the off season and there weren't a lot of places open nearby, or they were open but not fully running yet.) The pool was perfect for my kids, my son swam for HOURS everyday. The staff was so kind and helpful. My kids are still little so we mostly just hung out around the pool, walked along the beach, and went to nearby cave one afternoon. There is probably more to do and see but we were happy just to relax in this amazing location.

We loved everything about Mustapha’s Place! For us, it was even better than in the pictures. It’s almost like a small little village with sand pathways in the middle of a huge garden / rainforest with amazing flora and fauna. The pool was great and open until quite late at night so you could have a swim under the stars. The beach was also close - 2 min by foot (amazing sunrises!). Paje was about 30 min walking. It was not very busy when we were there so we had no disturbances from loud music, but maybe that depends on the season. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating, organizing excursions and scooter rentals very conveniently. Would 100% recommend to scooter through Paje and Jambiani to get to Mtende Beach - super beautiful! Extra thanks to Alessandra for everything.

This pave is magical, the staff super friendly, amazing food, great ambiance really family vibe and perfect located. Away from the busy Paje but still close enough. Definitely recommend this lovely place.

I loved everything! This place is absolutely gorgeous, and the owners and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The beach was a very short little walk down a safe path. The rooms are set in little huts and they are all different. I don't know this, but I suspect this place is very unique to the area. The food was the best we had in all of Tanzania. I even go to pet a monkey! Mustapha's Place is a locally owned resort, and when you stay here, you are contributing to the local economy, not a huge company, which I prefer.

Amazing authentic african ‘hotel’ with super atmosphere! The owner says himself it’s not a hotel, but a home. And it’s easy to see why. This place is a warm community with great facilities and nature hand in hand. The atmosphere and the staff make sure you feel at home and they’ll help you with whatever you would need. Me and my friends had a wonderful time in this beatiful home and we hope to return sometime soon! Recommend
