Not much to do around the resort as it is far away from most main attractions however the resort is quite and very large with plenty of sports facilities such as a tennis court, game rooms, pools etc. they also offer night entertainment that I felt could be improved. a number of restaurant to choose from and special pool and beach dinner nights were exceptional and very fun.

Perfect sunshine (if you are travelling from North Europe or Canada). Tourists are usually pestered in the beach areas (to be sold something). There is significant seaweed farming, so it is unfornatley a pleasant beach and ocean made deeply unpleasant by humans.

This beach is lovely, white sand, clear blue water that so warm. Lots of little kids around, not too many beach boys. Amazingggg views of the sunrise every morning. The community is lovely. Lots of nearby hotels and restaurants.

The village is tourist friendly even though I blend in quite well. We managed to walk a lot within the village as well as on the beach. There’s a number of grocery shops and one grocery store that takes cards with a 5% charge. The smaller hotels don’t take card so you’d need to carry cash.
Found it to be a very relaxing atmosphere without loud music, just avoid the masai if you didn’t come shopping or speak to them and support their local business 😅. They’ll surely try to sell you something.
Would have stayed longer if I didn’t need to get back to work the beach is endless especially in the mornings when the tide is out. Loved that there were options; surfing, kites, horse riding, snorkeling, amongst other activities.

I was traveling on my own, and I never felt alone.
I was traveling on my own, and I never felt alone. The staff had become friends. Every morning at breakfast (included) each guest, said hello to each other and some shared their experiences. Not required but a nice touch that just happened. Management checked in often, I felt well taken care of, but not over bothered. They made great suggestions on things to do. They arranged transportation for me to spend the day in Stone town and offered me a guide if I felt I needed one.
They paid special attention to me on my birthday, not expected n low key but a very nice touch.
I’d definitely go back n highly recommend!

A quieter place to relax, both in the resort and on the beach. A large garden full of shade from large trees, but not very comfortable in the rainy season. On the contrary, it is ideal in the dry season. Beautiful two pools, especially the large one at the back of the resort. The private beach is one of the best in the immediate area. The village 500m away is quiet, more trash on the beach.

Lalasalama counts with very new facilities they offer to clean the rooms every morning, the pool is amazing for relaxing after a day out, the beach is just a few steps away from the hotel. The arrived at 7am they let us check in early and offer us a room to rest with breakfast when we woke up that day, the personal is very lovely Muddy was ready to assist us every time and Oscar will always be around for anything you need thank you guys!! Our AC was not working properly at the begining but they change it straight away.
The location is great, very quiet beach and no beach boys :) Our room was amazing, very big, on the second floor with a nice sea view .
Breakfast is delicious , with chapati ( a home made flat bread from Zanzibar) , nice pancakes , fruit, fresh coffee, eggs …staff really nice , I forgot something in the room during check out and my away back to collect the luggage the cleaner reminde me and gave me back :)
They have beach towels , swimming pool, free parking…
The hotel exceeded my expectations and the quality-price ratio is very advantageous. I didn't identify any negative points, not even at low tide, which I saw as a show to walk through the fine sand of the ocean to its depths. The rooms are clean, the beach wide, with enough sunbeds and own security, the pools are very clean and the staff very friendly. It's a place where you can really find the peace you're looking for, escaping the crowds in Europe
Mchanga is an excellent option and would recommend it to everyone looking to spend their holidays not in a crowded big hotel. We really enjoyed the quietness of the place and the beautiful beach. The pool as well was much loved by our kids :) The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Every afternoon they prepared us some afternoon snacks for free. The food is excellent! We spent there 5 nights and felt like at home. Would definitely come back!
Tamu Tamu is a beautiful small hotel near Pwani Mchangani. It has a good restaurant and two pools to relax during the day. I got to say that it is sparkly clean (which is not always the case in Zanzibar) and the staff is super friendly and helpful. We had great conversations with everyone and the manager Wojciech assisted us on several 1-day trips. Definitely recommended to relax and visit the north part of the island!
Th staff was amazing, Zakaria, rachid, joice and Naima! The owners are so nice and welcoming, Dida and Mauro. Thank you all!!!
The place is calm and relaxing..i love the swinging beds by the beach, my favorite part!!
Then after chilling and relaxing you can book Excurstions with Mario, blue safari, Mnemba...good prices and fun activities !!
Definitely recommending this address to friends and family !
If you wanna feel like home, Namayani must the place you stay. The atmosphere was mesmerising. The view and the beach is fabulous that I never wanted to leave. The owner Sonia and staff Eliza are such nice ladies that they take care of whatever and whenever you need. The decoration of the villa is also perfect.
Nice, small ting hotel with great facility and food. Owners and staff are wonderful - super nice and helpful.
Rooms and facility are really clean.
Highly recommend staying in Tiande when you will be visiting Zanzibar!
The food was really good compared to other hotels we have stayed at on the Island. We have been to Zanzibar 3 times, and this was by bar the best Resort. The Hotel is quite expensive, but you really get what you pay for.
They staff are incredible friendly and accommodating and the property is super clean it’s family friendly there are a variety of restaurants to choose from plenty of activities and entertainment with your dinner
The rooms and overall property is new, very neat and clean. I liked the design. The nightly activities like dancing and live music was excellent. The beach was very close and very nice.
Mchanga Beach Resort 3 stars.
We had a lovely time at Mchanga beach resort. The scenery is lovely and the staff delivers a good service with a smile on their faces.
