The staff was friendly and welcoming; the room was clean and spacious; daily cleaning was at a higher level than expected; the breakfast was delicious, fresh and varied in the different mornings of our stay (it also included some traditional Turkish offerings). The second best thing was the view from our window and the roof top terrace! The absolute BEST feature is the location: nearby local markets, traditional locales with amazing local food, and all kinds of public transport (ferryboat, metro, buses, tram etc.) as well as the pedestrian bridge to the district with the Galata tower. The hotel itself is a traditional architecture ensemble of two ottoman houses from the mid 19th century and both exterior and interior add to the authentic Istanbul experience of your stay in Fatih. A walk around the district is like time travel.
