Bergama is one of the Stops that I did for the Bike tour in Izmir. Pergamum Acropolis is the main highlight of the area and worth the visit.
The town is quite quaint and was a refreshing change from the city where I came from.
I was travelling on a bike - so getting around town is quite easy enough, walking through town was also pleasant.
Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes - as the city is on cobbles and quite hilly.
Across from the Bergama Museum - there is a nice outdoor Beer Garden where one can have some kebabs and beer.

It is a must seen site.
It is a must seen site. Both Akropol and Asklepion are one of the best in ancient history.
Lovely landscape and rich history. Please do not expect night life here. Todays Bergama town might be a little difficult to drive around, cause it has narrow, one way streets like in Spain, but GPS works really well. It is safe for solo travelers too.
The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful and even drove me up to the Asclepeion. The room was very nice with wooden floors, a comfortable bed and very importantly also a very clean bathroom. The terrace has a nice view over the town. This is also where the breakfast is served (buffet). It's located in the old Greek quarter, close to the cable-car to the Akropolis and even closer to the Red Hall. The city center is also within walking distance. It was probably my favorite hotel in Turkey so far.
Great place. Staff, restaurant, pool, breakfast - all amazing. The room was outdated but exactly as shown on the photos so no surprises.
Location really good for visits to the Pergamon ancient city. Don’t get fooled by signs telling you the walk back down to the hotel from the Pergamon is 6 hrs. It is not and well worth the effort.
We didn’t get out of the hotel much bc we really enjoyed it there but it seems Bergama itself has some rather nice spots.

Well, we're back, after 4 years. The great same service, warm rooms and great view of the Acropolis. A tasty buffet breakfast and great location too. The staff were once again exceptional.
We'll be happy to stay here again should we return for a fourth visit to Bergama.

Loved this hotel, super friendly staff and great rooms. Price was reasonable and nothing was too much trouble. Would stay here again for sure.
This is a hotel in a small village in the hills. It is a 30 minute drive either to Bergama or to the beach.
The rooms are basically just standalone stone buildings. The owners are a charming family that do everything they can for you to feel amazing! It is quiet and comfortable (aside from the Mosque that may wake you up early in the morning).
The breakfast and the dinner in the evening (included!) are delicious and tasty!
This is more of a guest house than a hotel. It’s a very old building in a small village on the outskirts of Bergama. Though the room was small the atmosphere was charming and the owner was a helpful and shared interesting information about the history of the area. We would stay in this basic accommodation again. The breakfast was good and there was a good restaurant across the street. Parking on the street was no problem
The property was full of character and very pretty and homely. Bathroom was excellent and all rooms have a view. The area was not touristy, which I enjoyed and was close to the entrance to the Acropolis. The host was very helpful, gave great suggestions and provided fantastic breakfasts! There is a very good restaurant close by with expansive views across Bergama and delicious food. Enjoyed my stay immensely.
The building has a lot of character. It was calm at night. The location is a little outside the town but within walking distance of the basilica and restaurants (uphill on the way back). There is a car park near the hotel which was very welcome. The traditional Turkish breakfast served in the courtyard was excellent. I would rate the hotel as good value for money.
The breakfast was wonderful- delicious and our table was overflowing with breakfast options. One of the best breakfasts we had in Turkey!
We ate dinner there as well which was also very good with excellent service and food. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. Lovely outside sitting areas.
-Staff super kind and offering a very professional service. Very familial treat.
- Beautiful place ! Old restored building with views to the acropolis and the city of Bergama. Amazing!
- Terrace for the breakfast was very cute and enjoyable, with views.
- The location was in a cute area
I have to start with the price, because this was unbelievably inexpensive. The hotel is not in a great location for restaurants or nightlife, but the cost makes up for that. The room was fine, with the bathroom a little tighter than I would like. Overall, a pleasant place to stay
The family who own the hotel are incredible people. They really help to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The location is situated in a quaint area of Bergama, really picturesque. Its a very nice, boutique hotel.
We only stayed one night, but the experience was good. The hotel has just a few rooms, it is cozy and has a character. It feels very relaxed and a very personable owner just adds to the feeling.
This is a hidden treasure. Behind the doors to the hotel unfolds a beautiful inner coutyard.
There is a lot of love in details.
Perfectly located to walk to Pergamon/Akropolis and the Red Hall.
Great service; we arrived quite late and they were waiting for us.
Really nice atmosphere in the common area and good Turkish breakfast.
It is a great option if you are visiting Bergama ruins.
The place is very centrally located and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond with helping us get a parking spot right at the front of the hotel.
