The place is marvellous, a chill and cozy spot to unwind in with everything you need on-site. The staff have been super accommodating, making us vegan meals every evening and even bringing food to our room when we were sick.

Thankful that the guard was able to show us to our rooms as we arrived late at night. The room was nothing fancy but was all we needed. Just stayed the night before heading over to Koh Samet.

The owners are a Thai woman and her Australian husband. They're both very friendly. They even lent me their bike and said we could go for a barbecue on the beach next time.
It's right across the pier and at a walking distance from the market too.

We decided to stay in Ban Phe to break up a long journey.
We decided to stay in Ban Phe to break up a long journey. It is not a tourist town and there is not a great deal to do. It is a busy little port and geared up mainly for trips to Koh Samet island which is beautiful but very busy.

Ban Phe is the departure port for a 10 minute fast ferry ride to Koh Samed. The departure point is a hub of the area and is very touristy. There is a lot of accommodation nearby if needed or stay on Koh Samed quite easily.

BAN PHE IS SMALL and there is very little to do.
BAN PHE IS SMALL and there is very little to do. It is really only there to service fishing boats and the ferries to Koh Samet. The beach is really dirty.
The beach of Mae Rumphaeng on the other side of the headland is the attraction, and as there's no direct transport from Ban Phe to the beach (taxi mafia stops this any time someone enterprising tries to fill the clearly available opportunity), you should stay on the beach where there is a lot of accommodation available along the beach road. Best way to get around is to rent a moped or a moped with sidecar.
Mae Rumphaeng is now cleaned weekly, so although there is always a little debris on the beach, it is significantly cleaner than the beaches in other parts of this coast, and the water quality is much better than Jomtien. The beach also slopes very gently so you can go out a long way and still be waist deep, so safe for kids. Mad with Thais on holiday weekends but during the week very relaxed. plenty of eating and drinking places along the Ban Phe end of the beach
Everything is great on this location.
Room is big. Balcony is great. Bathroom is good.
Kitchenette is superb and well equipped.
Except the wind "singing" in the doors. That's it. Happens to be bad weather so even that can happen at night.
Large parking. Bit remote from city life but beautiful clean beach right in front.
Pooltable, swimming pool Everything is good here!
The hotel still works, better than based on some older reviews. It is old, but reasonably maintained. The towels and linnens were okay. The airconditioning outside unit is a bit noisy. It is time to invest in a more modern invertor unit. The room is large but the furniture a bit spartan, no comfy chair.
The hotel was very nice. Staff was helpful and attenteive. Room was spacious and bathroom ok. The bed was ok, too. The restaurant was quite good, offered delicious dishes at rather reasonable price for a hotel (normally they charge more in hotels). Overall, I was happy with this hotel.

We loved everything. It was a home away from home with a perfect view. Everything you need is provided. Highly reccommend this condo for any length stay. Its opposite beautiful Rayong beach n there is a yummy local restaurant downstairs
You’ll need a bike to get about, but the couple who own the place are extremely nice and helpful, and organised one for me quickly and cheaply. I plan to visit ban phe in the future and plan to stay at Pom Resort again.
The owner Kit, was very helpful. We arriving in the evening and he drove us to a lovely restaurant and picked us up. He also arranged transport to the port the next morning at no charge, as we were going to Koh Samet.

Very clean, new. Lots of garden and green space. Less 5 min walk to the pier (to Koh Samed), 7-11, Tesco Lotus, Thai food restaurants, etc.
Very friendly staff.
Very nice small hotel, simple but clean and directly at the beach. Only pass the beach road. Nice breakfast with 4 or 5 different choices. Western and Thai.
