Extremely friendly staff. English speakers. Kids friendly, with a playground in the yard, an internal play area in the third floor for toddlers and young kids, besides the ping-pong and pool table in the basement for older kids and adults. Comfortable rooms, amazing views, and very good food. Very cozy and family place! We loved it.

On entering this charming pension in Bran, you will immediately sense its special intimate atmosphere that makes you feel like being in your own transylvanian home. Each detail has been passionately chosen. The rooms of Cold Mountain are extremely comfortable, equipped with warm and precious materials and personalized with authentic transylvanian expertly chosen one by one in the many markets of Transylvania.This passion for detail contributes to the intimate, tranquil atmosphere which transforms each room into a pleasant refuge,in a place where guests can relax after a day spent touring.

BRAN CASTLE ( IN GERMAN Torzburg ) is a historical and architectural monument, situated in Rucar- Bran corridor, 1000 meters far from Muntele Rece Pension. Although Bran Castle was known both in touristic and folkloric circuits as Dracula`s Castle, here also being made a movie,"Interview with a vampire", seems that Vlad the Impaler never lived there. Rasnov Citadel. n the upper side of Barsa land, about 15 kilometers far from Brasov and 8 kilometers from Muntele Rece, on the old mercantile road that linked, by Bran pass, the old Brasov Citadel to Campulung Muscel, the former capital of Romanian Country, is located Rasnov City, often mentioned in medieval documents as trade fair city.The medieval citadel of today is considered to be built between 1211 and 1225, during the rule of Teutonic Knights in Burzenland, although there is no evidence in this respect. Bear Sanctuary-Created in the memory of Maya, today the “Libearty” Sanctuary is home to 71 European brown bears and one Asiatic black bear, all of them have been rescued from a cruel life of abuse in captivity. The Black Church is the largest Gothic church between Vienna and Istanbul, and still used by German Lutherans today.
