The house is situated in a unique and remote location next to lake Furnas, which is only accessible by a private (but well paved) access road. There is no other traffic. The house is right next to a popular walking route around the lake, which you can start and end from the accommodation. It's really quiet at night, and if the weather allows it, it is a great spot for stargazing! Furnas and its surroundings are easy to reach by car, Ponta Delgada is about 45 minutes from here. The house is generally well equipped (we just missed a washing machine), but there was no hot water kettle when we arrived for making tea. When we asked the host about it, a new kettle was delivered the same afternoon, which we really appreciated.

Quinta D’Água is located by the Furnas Lagoon in the São Miguel Island, Azores archipelago. This house with a red and white exterior offers a peculiar mix between a modern and romantic décor. Surrounded by nature this accommodations provides a unique sense of well-being. Isolated in complete tranquility, Quinta D’Água includes a double bedroom with a wrought iron bed and wooden walls. There is an open space area that includes a living area, a dining area and a kitchenette. It is equipped with heating and a sound system. The private bathroom has a bidet, a bath and a shower. Guests are welcome to prepare their own meals at the kitchenette fully equipped with a refrigerator and a stove. In addition guests may enjoy meals al fresco and use the barbecue facilities. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including cycling, horse riding and canoeing. The town of Vila Franca do Campo is 11 mi away and the city of Ponta Delgada with its International Airport is 25 mi away.
