Gorgeous property. Lounge chairs and comfortable seating area around the pool. Well landscaped. Wish we could’ve used tennis courts but ran out of time. Large room with lots of places to sit and relax

Just up the hill from beach front with balcony views of pool and Atlantic Ocean. Luz is a beautiful town. Prettiest town at the beach front we visited in Portugal and Spain.
Offering access to outdoor pools for children and adults, Vilamar is located in Praia da Luz. Surrounded by a garden, this property offers free WiFi throughout.

Because we visit in January the pool wasn't open and the hotel was nearly empty. However, the staff organize an extremely nice breakfast for us. Very nice garden. The place should definitively be nice in season

Salema is a lovely unspoilt village with a beautiful beach, several good restaurants, and a few shops. It is surrounded by natural beauty, wonderful hiking trails and convenient access to Sagres and the Atlantic coast.

From villa not really walkable as street so very narrow.
From villa not really walkable as street so very narrow. Path not suitable for older folks or those with mobility problems. Had to drive. Good restaurants, beach and coffee shops. Grocery store close .
Easy drive to other beaches and towns for exploring.

The street closest to the beach where we stayed was the best 'old world' part of Salema. Other parts can be less aesthetically pleasing but the whole place is less fussy and busy than other coastal spots like Luz or Lagos. A quiet place worth 2 nights. Restaurant options good too, even in winter.

I loved this beach!
I loved this beach! It was so picturesque and uncluttered with commercialism. The water was a little too cold for us to swim, but it was a beautiful to stroll along the beach. Although this was a small beach, there were plenty of restaurants.

Quiet fishing village, not touristy.
Quiet fishing village, not touristy. Beautiful beaches and views of the ocean. Friendly people, good restaurants, lots of fresh fish. Easy to get around if you are wearing sturdy shoes as lots of steps and steep paths into the village from Salema Beach Village, however, there is a shuttle service from the hotel if required.

I deliberately chose to stay in Salema as I was looking for a small, pristine beach/fisherman g location - and I found it all there!
Salema has preserved its authentic self despite the tide of tourism that has engulfed other parts of the Algarve.
The beach is big enough to absorb many visitors without being full. The sand is beautiful and sunsets are of course very special.
The village has some very good restaurants, a gelateria and lots of cute shops.
And who doesn’t want to live, even temporarily, on Rua dos Pescadores!
We had a balcony view of the harbour area which was excellent. There was limited parking but was always available when we were there which was not a busy time….October. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Salema is very close to a lot of area attractions like Sagres and the beaches on the Atlantic! These places were amazing to visit from Salema. We also had probably one of our best meals of our Portugal trip in Salema at ‘Em Lume Brando.
We have been visiting these lovely apartments since 2007. They have everything you need for a holiday in Salema (unless you plan to do a lot of cooking at home as there is no oven)With all the lovely local restaurants we eat out most of the time so the 2 hot plates, kettle, toaster and microwave are fine for us.Esmerelda and Paula in Reception are wonderful. The pool is lovely and everything is very clean. We will be back asap
This home provides a uniquely beautiful place to stay in the best town in the Algarve! The Moroccan-inspired architecture was beautiful and we were truly only steps away from the beautiful beaches of Salema. We enjoyed having a large bathroom, kitchen and living room. I believe that the private courtyard of Casa Saudade is the most beautiful in all of Salema! We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful town.
This neat and spacious apartment overlooks the beach of Salema, so the view with its changing hues all day long is spectacular. Everything is within walking distance, allowing you to forget your car once it’s parked. Ask about renting a stall at the bottom of the hill. That way, you can save a lot of walking and not worry whether the car is safe.
This is a wonderful property in the sleepy, little town of Salema. Up on a hill, it had a cooling breeze while offering a great view down to the ocean. Short walk down the hill to the beach, or to a couple of amazing restaurants with the freshest of seafood. The host Olivier was warm and welcoming.
The location is very good. It is a moderate walk downhill to the beach and town, it is a steep climb back. The view from our unit, U20 was nice, but not like the photo on the website. Salema was recommended as a more picturesque beach town than other places in the Algarve and I have to agree.
We stayed in the Domo camp at Salema Eco camp and it was perfect for 5 people equipped with whatever we needed including a kitchenette and a parking spot and running water to wash. The Salema beach is a 2 min drive but you could also walk there and its a gorgeous calm beach.
This is the best location in Salema. Right at the waterfront, beach and food nearby. No hill. Beautiful pool and off street parking. Spent 5 days, could have stayed longer. Get a balcony, sea view room. Well worth it. Love the staff. Ella, the cleaner is great.
Our stay at Villamar was amazing! The Owner was so wonderful to us. We loved having the reserved beach chairs and umbrella. The food at the restaurant was incredible. I highly recommend this hotel!! Would stay again easily. In fact, I can't wait to go back.
Wonderful place!!
Jo and Scott couldn’t have been nicer to us. The apartment is warm and cozy, and is supplied well. Beach towels, a fresh bag of coffee, help yourselves to the oatmeal, spices etc. - third-floor terrace has a great view.
Self catering. The view was superb and the apartment was in walking distance to the beach, bars and restaurants. The furnishings were stylish and of good quality.
Fantastic location! The staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel is clean and the room had all the necessities. The food at breakfast was fresh and delicious.
Comfortable bed. good shower, great garden, air conditioning. A lot of accommodation in Salema is up steep hills - this one is on the flat beside the beach
