Very good breakfast.
Great hotel overall, very friendly staff and great room size.
The hotel itself, inside, was very quiet.
No sound from other rooms unless they spoke loudly, which is good for privacy.

The staff are incredibly friendly, the property is beautiful, the room was spacious and gorgeous, the location is perfect, and the spa facility was much appreciated after long days of exploring the beautiful town. Also, the breakfast was exceptional and gave us something to look forward to each morning. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Aveiro. Top notch all the way around!

The location was perfect for walking from the train station. I would skip the breakfast and go to a local restaurant as it was only average. The room was large with fun windows. Great location.

Aviero is beautiful. The town centre has amazing Portuguese style buildings, the streeets are very clean, it is all very walkable and the gondola trips are very reasonably priced and leave from the canal in the central area. These tours are in multiple languages, so suitable for everyone. The local restaurants have all types of great food at very reasonable prices and local supermarkets and shops are really good value. People are friendly and helpful. Loved our stay there.

Lots of tourists in Aveiro at the weekend, many on the moliceiro boat trips along the canal. Lovely way to sightsee if weather is good - it was quite hot before Easter but with a cooling breeze. The multi-lingual guide on the moliceiro gave detailed and interesting information about Aveiro, especially the Art Nouveau and Art Deco buildings as well as the stunning modern architecture. Also the fishing history of Aveiro was explained well.
Lovely walks alongside the canal from MELIA hotel, quiet and very little traffic until you arrive in the centre. On Sundays many market stalls selling numerous antiques along both sides of canal.
Back street walks are full of interesting surprises, traditional tiled buildings, sculptures, cafes, restaurants and bars. Very easy to walk around and explore or cycle on numerous dedicated cycle paths. Also excellent S Joana museum and art gallery in centre.
Good place for a long weekend or even a week if you also want to get out of centre to the beaches.

Aveiro is a charming city with fantastic food and friendly people.
We are moving there, that is how much we like it. It is much cleaner and quieter than Porto (where we have lived for the past 3 years.)
There is lots to do, shopping, eating, sites, boat rides, museums, to name a few.
There are lovely cities nearby as well. Ovar, Costa Nova, Águeda and Ílhavo. As well as Coimbra.
It has a great central location 2 hrs from Lisbon and less than an hour from Porto.

Aveiro is a beautiful city overall, my favourite place is the Ria of Aveiro wit his colourful boats and the Barra's beach with his colorful wood-houses as well.
I ate in a restaurant near the shopping centre Forum. I've rent a car from Lisbon to get around so I didn't need a public transport but there's a bicycle in the city to rent to get around which is very useful.
You have to go to a restaurant on time between 12-15 otherwise it won't be easy to find a place that open till late for lunch.
I like traditional restaurants around the city instead of the fast food ones. In Portugal the food is amazing!

I regret not being able to explore the city thoroughly during my visit. Nonetheless, I had a delightful evening at a local pub, which turned out to be a truly enjoyable experience. The people in the city are remarkably warm and friendly, adding to the overall positive impression of my brief stay.

Seeing pictures and videos of Aveiro was excepting more then what I saw. Those who say Aveiro is Portugal's Venice they must not been in Venice. For us it was waste of time to stay overnight. Maybe it was due to construction that was going around the city center. I was very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend staying overnight. Maybe quick stop on your way.
Great location if you wish to visit the City. You'll be at a walking distance of 10 minutes from the city centre walking along the pleasant canals. Or you can choose to go on one of the Moliceiro boats.
Breakfast was great and with a lovely view of the canal.
The hotel is also a good place to drive to some beautiful nearby spots as the beaches of Barra and Costa Nova
Apartment is older but very spacious and reasonably well maintained. Location is walkable to the center of Aveiro. We never met the host but check-in instructions were clear. There is free parking in front of and behind the building; access to complex can be confusing because of nearby railway tracks and overpass directly in front of building. Internet signal is good.
The hotel has a convenient location near the train statios. Its rooms are spacious and adequately clean.
The gesture of providing Ovos molles de Aveiro as a welcome gift in the room was a nice display of hospitality.

adorable, modern, small , centralized, hotel smack in the middle of town!! amazingly quiet for being right on the center circle with traffic, the canals and construction!! We had lovely small rooms. We encountered very nice staff! great breakfast and many rooms available for business use and group functions!! very affordable too!
Aveiro is a tourist trap, more expensive than most places in Portugal. Family House is probably the best budget option. The two other reasonably priced places get miserable reviews. Family House is very clean, and I believe the couple that own it try to run a good place. It also is in a great location.
An exceptional 3-star hotel. Welcoming English speaking staff on hand to help. Secure basement parking. Good size room, comfortable bed with good shower room ensuite. Room safe gives piece of mind. An excellent continental self service breakfast. Fair location about 10min walk to town center
the most beautiful place to stay in the city Center .
extremely clean, very friendly staff, great extras, very cozy for a city Center hotel.
staff was very professional and helped with all the questions
it’s a great place to stay and know the city all around
Arriving by car, it was easy to find a parking place just outside the door on the street. Staff was helpful to point out the main areas of interest in the town. Room was comfortable and quiet. The hotel is nicely situated for a one night visit to Aveiro.
I think this hotel has almost everything you need for a long stay in Aveiro. It is conviniently located, the room is clean, the bed is confy and the staff is friendly and helpful. Price wise is good and there are plenty of places to buy stuff nearby.
Rooms were spacious and beautiful with comfort. The breakfast was excellent. Great location in town center. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor of the hotel was unique as it was a converted 8 room house with amazing decor.
This is a unique experience… sleeping in a boat in Portugal, near Aveiro. Had an amazing time. I strongly recommend the boat and the staff was wonderful, made us feel really welcomed. The room view is a bonus.
Rooms where modern and clean. Hotel is close to the "Forum" shopping mall. City center of Aveiro is easy to reach by foot but far enough away that you will not notice the amount of tourists in the city.
It had all the necessary things one needs to be comfortable and enjoy the stay in Aveiro.
Well located, walking distance to the city center and amenities.
The hotel is very close to Train Station and to the center. The rooms were clean and big. A very quite place to take rest. Te staff was so helpful and kind.
Well located at about 10 minutes walking from the centre of Aveiro. The staff was really helpful. The hotel is modern but has a nice traditional decor.
