They say location, location, location is important and this hotel is directly across the road from the ferry to Moorea! There were spectacular views from the Rooftop outdoor eatery (7th floor) and the Surf House (8th floor). Best place to enjoy sunsets!!!!! Staff were wonderful and very accommodating. Highly recommend to everyone.
Hotel Sarah Nui offers free WiFi and is just 5 minutes’ walk from Papeete Ferry Terminal. All accommodations includes a flat-screen TV.

We love to walk. I like that a rooftop restaurant and the Brew place were not too far. We actually walked our luggage to the cruise terminal. Which was not as daunting as we thought. A taxi was parked ready to take people to the cruise ship but we would have had to wait for two more groups to go. The bed was large and comfy. Air con was good. We had great fun exploring the shops, and harbourfront. During our stay we did a really fun jeep excursion.
Offering a sun terrace and views of the garden, Fare D'hôtes Tutehau is located in the Farii piti neighborhood. It is 15 minutes' walk from the heart of Papeete.

The room is as pictured the facility and the building itself is not what I was wanting.
Belle Maison F3 is a recently renovated guest house in Papeete, near Plage Hokule'a. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.
Papeete is a lovely town. If you stay there be sure to book a room at a reputable hotel. We unfortunately booked a 3 Star Air B&B that was disgusting. Fortunately because of late arrival of our flight we only to spend one night at this site rather than 2 that were booked. The town itself is lovely and the people are friendly.

Papeete at first glance could be a nice place to stay.
Papeete at first glance could be a nice place to stay. Warm weather, good food and drinks. Seafront promenade is just gorgeous. But a lot of homeless people and dogs are as decay for the city. Well, some of the US cities like Phili are the same...

The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it.
The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it. Food is amazing, I had great meals out and the Carrefour supermarkets are better stocked than my local supermarkets here in the UK. I just liked the vibe. There are lots of places to eat and drink, decent shopping to be had and I liked the people. The port where you can catch boats to other islands is in town too!

I enjoyed the Markets the most and the street stalls.
I enjoyed the Markets the most and the street stalls.
I loved the fresh pastries - especially the bread sticks
I found finding a place in town was better for us, as the cost for taxi's was very pricey.
I would avoid staying out in the suburbs and ensure to have an offline currency converter handy as there were times i got caught off guard and ended paying double the amount I intended.

Little to do in the city aside from shopping.
Little to do in the city aside from shopping. That all stops on Sundays entirely, and largely disappears on Saturday afternoons too. Public transport is almost impossible, not helped by the website or the tourism office. There are no beaches walkable from the city centre, so you're left needing to find a tour, a public bus (not on sundays though), or renting a car/scooter.

Papeete is a good destination. Don' stay at hotes downtown.
Papeete is a good destination. Don' stay at hotes downtown. Too hard n to get around with uneven footpaths and cars parked were pedestrians should have access. Stay at a resort west of the airport
It’s a very clean and new hotel. Location was great, closer to the ferry terminal if you want to take the ferry to Moorea. It’s located within walking distance to all restaurants and the Papeete market (if you want to get some flower hei or get some cerviche). Less than 30 mins to the airport. Front desk staff were pretty awesome and helpful. They helped me call the taxi and made restaurant reservations in French. We got the studio on the 3rd floor which I still thought it was good.
Spacious property on the hill just outside Papeete centre. Great for family stay with space to cook and chill as well as off street parking. 10 min drive into the the city with all the facilities you would need and only 15-20 mins to the airport. A car is recommended to make the most of your trip to Papeete.
Wendy was an amazing host very supportive and easily accessible, she went above and beyond to help us and ensure our trip was spectacular. Cannot recommend her enough.
We arrived after dark and were delighted to awake and see the beach right out our window. The rooms were amazing (big, comfortable, with an incredible view). The beach was within walking distance. You can't walk out to all beaches in Tahiti, so this was a real plus. The pool was beautiful and conveniently located. The food was delicious. Overall, this was a perfect choice and far enough from downtown that you felt the natural vibe.
Amazing hotel where we spent few days of our honeymoon. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a room with sea view and hot tub. It was great. Restaurant is really good; we ate really well, and service was great. Beach is nice, black sand. We did not swim much but it was fun to play with the waves. Pool is amazing. Great happy hour. Overall, a great place.
The house was perfect in every way. Clean, well set up, fully equipped with everything 100% as advertised. We would absolutely stay here again and rent from the owners with no hesitation. The owners were friendly, outgoing, and very gracious. The house was an easy walk from the Papeete government center. We enjoyed sitting on the porch each evening watching the birds and nature's best.
I felt extremely welcomed here! I felt more like I was staying at a good friend’s home rather than a generic hotel. I arrived after all the restaurants were closed and they were kind enough to give me some food even though that was not part of the service. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. I hope I can stay here again next time I’m in Papeete. I would highly recommend this place!
The family and their employees operating TEA Tahiti Holidays were wonderful; they thought of things ahead of time and took care of them for us. They were very friendly and very helpful. TEA Tahiti Holidays is a short walking distance from many of the places you will want to see while exploring Papeete, and the comfortable room was a relative bargain in the area.
Clean, updated rooms. Very good restaurant with a view. Cars available to rent from the property. Free airport/ferry shuttles. Walkable to waterfront and downtown. Very nice, friendly staff. They have a shower to use after check out if you have a flight later in the day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Papeete.
Amazing price for the location, great sized room with very comfortable bed. 5min walk from the ferry dock in Papeete, perfect for an overnight stay before heading to Mo’orea. Don’t expect a luxury resort, the hotel is more for convenience. Nearby food trucks were amazing. Staff was helpful and so friendly. Would come again!
Wonderful hotel!! Everything was outstanding (decor, pool, cleanliness) but what made it really special was the wonderful team, specially the breakfast team and Lucille at reception. They made our stay even more wonderful. Without any doubt, one of the best places to stay while visiting Tahiti.
Being walking distance from downtown Papeete meant we had our choice of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. It made exploring the city very easy.
The rooftop pool was a nice bonus.
Check in was autonomous and easy with all the information being emailed through well ahead of our arrival.
This was my 2nd time staying at the hotel due to their location and phenomenal staff. I thought I lost my GoPro at the beach, however the staff found it upon cleaning my room and the front desk staff returned it to me. Can't thank them enough!
upgraded room very clean service from management and staff excellent and perfect location we certainly will book to stay at Hotel Tahiti Nui on our next trip to Tahiti and will recommend the Hotel a 5star
Unfortunately, due to an early flight (we had to leave at 6:20 am to the airport) we could not have breakfast at the hotel, but the reception did arrange a take away breakfast that we had at the airport.
Fairly updated room, and it was clean. Staff was very helpful throughout the stay. Quiet hotel and easy to get a good nights sleep. Centrally located in Papeete close to shopping, restaurants, etc.
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. We then enjoyed a Tahitian band and watched many local couples doing a type of Tahitien dancing. Fun evening.
The hotel is really great if you need somewhere to stay that is close to the airport. Lovely swimming pool, friendly staff, and amazing views out across towards Moorea.
Good location very close to Papeete shopping centre and the ferry to Moorea. A/c in the bedroom and the living room.
Balcony with a view over the city rooftops.
Close to Papeete Centre just a 15 min walk. Very good bathroom and room.
Also a nice bar and restaurant.
The free transfers to and from the Ferry + Airport.
