Vichayito has a nice beach, it's 15 minutes away from Máncora. It's a relaxing family place, where you can go for a beach walk or just spend time at the pool while watching the sunset. The seafood was great. I recommend visiting 'Kichic' and 'Arennas' to eat at night, they are really nice places (a little bit expensive though). If you're staying at Máncora, Pocitas, Órganos or Vichayito you must go to 'el Ñuro' where you can swim with sea turtles. Some people told us that there are whale sightings in August, that's definitely something I want to do next time!MichaelUnited States of America - 10Scored 10

Vichayito is a beach placed in the north of Piura, Peru. It is at a distance of 9.7 kilometers from the beaches of Máncora, on the Panamericana Norte, The sea is so calm and warm. Is a nice place for relax.

The hotel is situated in a nice tranquil area. The accommodations, beach, pool and staff were excellent. Close proximity to Los Organos and Mancora for day trips to enjoy fresh sea food. Nice relaxing stay with my family!

Beautiful beach in Piura.
Beautiful beach in Piura. About 3.5 hrs from Piura's airport. Preferably go to Talara's airport. Excellent for whale watching in the july-october period, sun all year round although windy and a bit chilly at night. There are also some nice spas at the Aranwa and Kichic hotels. Beware roads are very rustic and there is no easy public trasnsport available. Preferably rent a car from the airport or get the number of a motocar. Recommend the @PacificAdventures tour for whale watching.

I also really liked having the air conditioner which is a little more of a rare amenity in Peru. It was also nice having the selection of DirectTV channels to settle into after a long day of exploring. Also, this was our first trip traveling with a baby and they had a nice crib/changing table available for us in our room. That was a detail that surprised me and was very much appreciated.
