This is a wonderful small hotel. The manager Craig could not have been nicer. We had wonderful conversations with him and learned a lot about the area. The room was spacious, very clean and nicely appointed. It was right in town so it was very easy to walk to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The location was excellent for us. It is close to the railway station. The main purpose of our trip was a rail excursion, steam train trip.
The motel looks very plain from the main entrance, the delight and suprise is the great view from the room

Spacious two bedroom apartment with everything we needed. We stayed 2 nights so we could spend time looking at wineries. Very comfy beds. Laundry access was perfect too.

Good place to transit after arriving from the ferry in Picton. Several places to eat as a good sized town. Ate in Bamboo Garden (5 minutes walk) as had been recommended to us by people on the ferry. Food was excellent.

We stayed 3 nights in Blenheim in February.
We stayed 3 nights in Blenheim in February. The city itself is not too big but cosy. There are some beautiful parks and gardens. Breathtaking mountains views. Runway cafe on the way to Blenheim airport was quite nice. Food was delicious. Most of the time we spent exploring nearby areas. A lot of good wineries around for degustation and lunch. We travelled to Picton ( 30 min by car). Had a cruise there. Plenty of cafes on the waterfront. Visited the impressive Omaka aviation heritage centre. "Muscles pot" restaurant in Havelock was nice. Would be great if we had at least one more day to visit more places in the Marlborough region.

Opted not to hire car which I would probably change when visiting again although we did manage with walking to city centre and and utilising shuttles to get out to Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre. Omaka is an absolute jewell. We were here for Garden Raupara Springs so transport otherwise not an issue for us. We were close to a Countdown and Bamboo Garden Restaurant which was fabulous and we also visited a Japanese Restaurant. Had our wine tasting at the gardens so did not visit winery; we come from West Auckland also a hub of wineries so we were happy with just the tasting at the garden event. The shuttle who took us to Omaka was happy for just a pick up call and then took us to a garden centre for a quick look around. Very obliging! Of course I bought a plant and took it back to Auckland. Thanks for a lovely stay, can't recommend Blenheim enough!

we were there for the bianual aviation easter show.
Amazing good.
The Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre is a world-class museum showcasing WW1 and WW2 aircraft and artefacts
We combine it with a day driving in thewineries and dining at a winery.
Continental breakfast was pre-ordered the night before, and individual breakfast trays were ready at your requested time. Clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom.
Helpful, friendly and informative host Kim who was happy for guests to use the house kitchen, dining room, big lounge and outdoor area, as well as laundry facilities and use of bikes.
Great location outside of Blenheim but very close to the Wairau Valley vineyards (for driving or cycling around), and the excellent Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre (WWI and WWII aircraft).
Very quiet, spacious, clean, comfortable room with good lights.
A nice bath.
Unlike many other accommodations - there was plenty shelf space in the bathroom.
It was very useful to have dinner at the Japanese restaurant in the hotel as we stayed there on Good Friday and most of Blenheim was closed, especially at night.
The nice receptionist suggested us to park close to the door, in an unmarked position, as we had a lot of luggage.
The Scenic Hotel is the best accommodation I have booked in New Zealand, and I travel a lot for work so I do not say that lightly! Wonderful staff, Amazing location, and the room was sparkling clean, the facilities are endless including an outdoor pool and not to mention value for money. 110% recommend and will DEFINITELY be returning.
Very clean and nice interior styling, you can tell the owners have a passion. Had an in depth Guest guidebook with local restaurants, maps, menus etc.
The reception staff reccomended places to go around Blenheim which was great as we initially didn't have any ideas.
Parking right outside your unit
Great location in bleinheim, good sized room (executive), excellent in terms of cleanliness and very comfortable beds. No views etc, facing into internal courtyard where you park your car outside the room (as expected with motels). Overall, good value for money.
It is obviously an older motel with fittings that show its age. I was surprised that it exists close to what look like much more modern and classy motels. The kitchen was hopelessly small. Taps in the kitchen and bathrooms needed new washers.
We were made to feel like a part of the family during our most pleasant stay at Riverfront Motel. The attached hotel was a surprise bonus. The staff, the food and the atmosphere was how a good country pub should be. It was excellent.
There was a sweet little welcome basket on arrival of the vineyards wine and local produce. It was such a beautiful setting in the middle of a working vineyard and even had its own pool - a pure moment of indulgence and luxury.
Room was very clean, bed was very comfortable and the staff were amazing. We had dinner in their restaurant and everything was exceptional. Highly Recommended and the only place I would stay if going back to Blenheim.
they thought of pretty much everything. I have stayed in Motels over the years, they don’t think about the small things. this Motel had kitchen towels, a seat in the shower for people that can’t necessarily stand.
Great compact private unit at the back of the host's house. Small kitchen with microwave, fridge, kettle, and toaster. Close enough to walk to downtown Blenheim. AND a private spa pool. Two thumbs up!
Cheap, right in the centre of Blenheim. Social but not a party hostel. Lots of medium term travelling hostel stayers working in the vineyard.
Cleaned daily but facilities a bit run down.
Clean with great parking and very well appointed rooms, not far from central Blenheim (10min drive) very much a family style motel. Has a pool and there is a supermarket across the road
Everything was great... needed accommodation between airport and vineyard for family occasion. Property was found lovely clean and tidy. Better than expected.
