Healthy walking distance into Bergen or Schoorl. Staff was fantastic- just very friendly and helpful. Restaurants do not offer wide selection, but the food is generally very good.

I loved the beach, it was clean, you have plenty sand space, I mean, this beach will never be crowded because the distance from where the sand starts until where the water is is very long. A small coastal resort outside Alkmaar. Good coast walks and Alkmaar provides the local City to visit and rail transfer facilities to north south and west. We rode the trains to Enkhuisen via Hoorn. Enough bars and restaurants but I guess it would be very busy in the summer months. The local people were great and keen to talk to us which was good.

Very compact restaurant shopping area with an excellent beach. Very busy during tourist season which might tread on the tranquility aspect that it offers offseason. Beautiful spot to leave the car in the driveway and be a local.

We loved the decor, and the kitchen was well supplied and easy to clean up after ourselves. It was a quick walk to the beach, (and there's brushes to clean off the sand when you get back). It's also close to the main street, with shopping and food. We drove a car to Egmond an Zee and were able to park not too far from the house. The yard is surrounded by high fences which gives you a sense of privacy and was perfect to let the dog roam. Good location, only a few minutes walk from the beach and the town center. We had a bright room on the first floor facing the main road and it was so wonderful. There was also a lovely kitchenette and a very large bathroom. Super clean!
