Good location, very quiet street. They provided drinking water and a coffee maker plus locally grown and roasted coffee.

It was very close to the city center and within walking distance of the lakes. The shower was great with lots of hot water and good water pressure. The bed was firm but comfortable. The hotel is located on a quiet street. The staff is friendly and helpful. There was a cold front and it was very chilly in our room. The staff supplied us with a heater and extra blankets. We would be happy to stay there again.

This is my favorite type of hotel in MX; a renovated old hacienda where there's a secure entrance with an open courtyard inside. The inside is laid out so that it winds around the garden with little bridges and walkways, and patios tucked in and around the courtyard. There were always staff available to help out. The restaurant is lovely and the breakfast we had there was one of the best I've had in Mexico. The layout of our room was great and the shower was hot. We really enjoyed our stay.

charming traditional hotel. the garden is lovely to sit and take some time off. it was spotlessly clean. I Loved that drinking water is available in the property so you don't have to be buying plastic bottles all the time.

The staff at this location were amazing. They were knowledgeable about the town, and the events/activities going on that week. The food that was freshly made to order was delicious. They even washed our clothing! The location was great! Located just a couple block from the center of town. This city is very walkable, just be aware that you are on a mountain so the slopes are a bit more extreme then San Francisco. We walked at all times of the day and felt safe. Tried food from restaurants and food vendors all over, everything amazing. If you are going to Xalapa, this is the hotel to stay at. If you go please be nice to the staff, they deserve it.

Posada del Cafeto is a traditional Mexican hotel located within easy walking distance of the central plaza in Xalapa. The hotel is well-maintained and has a friendly staff. The rooms are comfortable and clean with good Wi-Fi and daily cleaning. Posada del Cafeto is a great value budget hotel in a good location. I doubt there's a better option in this price range in Xalapa.

Great location, right in downtown Xalapa with plenty of food options and activities nearby. The hotel is kept clean and tidy and makes you feel at home. The hotel itself is just beautiful with a great colonial layout. Most beautiful gardens ever with great care and attention. The rooms are kept clean and are just perfect if you travel with the family They were very keen in helping us to find space to park our car and also giving us advices and recommendations of the city.
