It was a little oasis in a bit of a scruffy neighborhood that was a bit intimidating at first.
I loved the little sitting area that we had and it was very peaceful.

The location was nice close to the pier. The price of the room. Good communication through the app and free parking. (Even though they told us that the place we parked the car was ok but actually was private property - their parking was a bit further). Breakfast was nice

We simply love Holbox, this location is about a 10 minute walk to the town square where there are plenty of great restaurants and bars that range from low price and great quality to the high end bougie places. We always enjoy the variety in Holbox of great places to eat and the low key vibe in the area.
The room itself was clean and the bed was very comfortable

Great little boutique hotel with amazing staff and great rooms. Everything was very clean and the help was awesome. WiFi is good with Starlink and the location of the hotel is good, not too far from the ferry and the center and at the same time in a nice quiet spot of the island. We really enjoyed our last days in Mexico on the beautiful island 😁

There wasn't really anything to do or see in Chiquila.
There wasn't really anything to do or see in Chiquila. I went to Holbox via bus and ferry so decided on my departure that I would stay one night in Chiquila. Next time, I will just leave Holbox and go straight to my next destination.

We only had 1 night and it was not planned. Extreme weather shut the ferry's down, so Chiquila was our unplanned, but nice stop.
It is a small town in Mexico, who's prime purpose is the port and shuttling people to/from Holbox. Let's don't pretend it is anything else.
The people were very friendly and the two restaurants we found open in the awful weather were wonderful. We enjoyed our unexpected stay - nice and relaxing if the weather was nice.

Chiquila seemed to me as „the parking lot for Holbox visitors“. The place has not had much appealing to me. I booked the room in order to avoid the need of an early ferry back and the potential stress with going back to Cancun for departure. In hindsight I‘d stay a night longer on Holbox the next time or directly head back to Cancun the day before. I found two restaurants. One was quite good (fish), the other one (tacos) okay. Relatively cheap compared to Holbox.
