It has a good breakfast, a big room, and a terrace with a hammock. The area is super cute, with many trees and flowers. It's super close to Uxmal. I like that the electricity is coming from solar panels.
Hotel Bugambilias is offering accommodations in Ticul. The hotel features family rooms. At the hotel, each room has a closet.

Hotel Bugambilias is a great bargain. The bed was comfortable. The staff members were ALL helpful and pleasant. The room was very clean. For exploring the Ruta Puuc, the location is very good.
Posada El Jardín is an eco-friendly property that offers free Wi-Fi in public areas, sun terraces by the outdoor pool, and a palapa that serves coffee for a fee.
Just across the street from the Uxmal Pyramids, and a 40 minutes' drive from Merida. This historic resort offers an outdoor pool and a working plantation filled with fruit trees and jogging trails.

This hotel is perfect from all points of views. We stayed in the same room, where once Indira Ghandi stayed. Very spacious, very beautiful even with stained glass windows in the room. Beautiful garden with birds, pool, parking. Within walking distance from Uxmal archeological site.
Spent about 3 hours at Uxmal site. Lots of large sites to see and you can wander at your own pace. It was my favorite of the sites we visited on the trip. Tickets and entry could be clearer and signage at sites in Mexico is always lacking, but the quality of the ruins and architecture is fantastic. The scale, intimacy of the visit, and amount of ruins is superb.

To really get to experience Mayan culture, the near by towns and cenotes and more archeological sites I would recommend a week in Uxmal .
I loved every minute we were there .
I would also recommend having a much spending money as possible, not because things are expensive it is that there is so much to do and it will cost money .
Horse riding , vintage 4WD hire , the prices for the sites and tours has risen due to the pandemic .
Also supporting local artists .

The site is wonderful and the hotel was surrounded by orchards birds flowers amazing palms. A couple of small interesting local museums with animals local Mayan customs and chocolate cultivation. The Lodge restaurant which also belonged to the hacienda estate was a short walk and of a high standard.

We traveled by car because my older sister has specific food needs due to ALS. A blender, two boxes of food and a cooler were graciously hauled to and from our room by the hotel staff. They could not have been more accommodating and helped to supplement her diet with fresh food from the kitchen.
It was my sister's fifth and probably final trip to the awe inspiring sites of the Yucatan. We are so grateful for the experience.

Uxmal charges US citizen 4 times regular admission.
Uxmal charges US citizen 4 times regular admission. Hotel Uxmal Maya charges 33% more for using US money or cards. Do not go if you don’t want to feel ripped off. Nothing special about hotel as at every turn you have to be guarded about being ripped off.

The bed was very firm and the hot water took a little longer than I would like but everything else was just fantastic. The food was amazing the staff tried to help us find anything we were looking for. It was a nice welcoming place to stay
Everything - from start to finish - was great. We were met by the concierge while still in the car, who spoke good English and walked us through the process of registering and getting the room key. The place was nearly empty - assuming due to the Covid scare - so we shared the entire complex (a fairly large property) with maybe 10 other couples / families. It was like having your own private resort. There were probably just as many staff working as there were guests, so everything was in tip-top shape.
The hacienda is very nice and I enjoyed the lush gardens and the large pool where we played with my 5 years old son. The room was big and the bathroom as well. The beds were on the hard side but this is very common in Mexico. I was happy that the room had a mini fridge and a safe to leave our belongings. Waking up to the sounds of birds was lovely. The location was also very convenient to visit Uxmal and the Chocolate Museum. This hotel was great for a two night stay.
Beautiful historic hacienda surrounded by gorgeous tropical garden, pools, fountains and birds. Our room was upgraded to a beautiful suite with outdoor glassed in bathroom, stained glass windows and traditional elegant furnishings. Steps from the Uxmail ruins was a plus for our three-day visit.
Wonderful breakfasts but no restaurant for dinner on site (5 minute walk away with plain food only.) Staff exceptionally friendly, helpful and efficient.
The history, the elegant grandeur, the pool, being able to walk to the ruins, Being served breakfast poolside. staying in rooms where Indira Gandhi and Jacqueline Kennedy and family had stayed.. Relaxing by the pool after visiting the ruins. Seeing and hearing all kinds of birds. I make sure to stay here with all of the groups I bring to Mexico. It is always a favorite.
We were upgraded to hotel "the Lodge", on the other side of the street. This review is for the Lodge:
The location directly in front of the Uxmal ruins was amazing; just a 2 min walk.
The overall setting, verandas in front of the rooms and pools was great! Definitely worth an extra night.
Nice hotel next door to Uxmal archeological area. Polite and professional staff. Hotel looks a little bit shabby from the outside, but once inside there is everything O.K. We could see the pyramids from our balcony. Restaurant offers not many but very tasty meals.
It was a luxurious hotel without the price. The setting had so much history and displayed it everywhere. It was extremely clean and spacious. The staff was attentive and helped get us a guide.
Great location next to Uxmal and Museo de chocolate.
Excellent location and atmosphere. In walking distance to Ruins of Uxmal and next to very interesting Choco Story museum. While it is a historical hotel it has the atmosphere of a former hacienda surrounded by farm land.
We enjoyed being so close to the Uxmal ruins archeological park. The pool was enjoyable for an afternoon dip. Hearing the birds from early morning and throughout the day was a special treat.
