First and foremost, I'd like to start off with saying the staff was incredibly personable, kind, and helpful. The auditors were all very friendly. The cleaning staff was also very nice and offered daily turndown and laundry service. The centralized location and convenience were a huge plus. I felt very safe here. Within the same plaza, you'll find several businesses such as an Oxxo, a confectionary shop, an ice cream parlor, a churro stand (my favorite!), a bank, and a fine dining establishment to name a few.
Less than one mile from Tampico International Airport, this hotel features an outdoor pool and hot tub. The hotel is minutes from downtown and rooms include a mini-bar and free Wi-Fi.

PROS: We only stayed for the night and booked this stay VERY last minute, but the location in Playa Miramar can't be beat. Check-in was a breeze, the check in area is beautiful and updated, and the check-in staff was very friendly, even though we only speak Spanglish. Yes, you get actual metal keys, handed the TV remote, and towel cards at check-in, but I knew this from reading the reviews so we were prepared. We were directed to park our personal car at an open parking spot by the attendant who was also very friendly.
We had a room on the 2nd floor (3rd floor really, since the check-in floor was considered floor 0). The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the room was clean. The shower was clean and had hot water. We thought breakfast was delicious and varied. We paid about $30 US for breakfast since we didn't purchase the all-inclusive package. We thought this was an OK price since it was all you can eat and the service was friendly and exceptional. We wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the beach but it was a rainy day when we woke up in the morning.
