Perfectly located for enjoying Mdina without the crowds. The hotel was full of character. We particularly enjoyed eating breakfast on the terrace with its far reaching views.

Absolutely amazing place with the best views across the island. There's so much history to see and experience and loads of choice for food. Definitely wander out of the main gate and over to Crystal Palace for the best Pastizzi, and Fontanella's on the city wall is a must.

Mdina is nice for a few hours but there’s not a lot to do if you have done all the museums, cathedrals and archaeological sites in other parts of Malta and Gozo as we had done.
It’s very historical with lovely glassware and silver jewellery in the quaint little shops.
It was a nice place to chill out after a hectic few days elsewhere on Malta.

A truly spectacular ancient small walled city.
A truly spectacular ancient small walled city.
The downside of this being the sheer number of tourists, however in the early morning or latter in the evening when they have left it has a serenity , it is wonderful then to just wander the ancient streets.
This place is a hidden gem in Mdina with an amazing host. We spent our engagement day and night at Palazzo Bifora and we couldn’t wish for anything better than this. Lovely infrastructure and decoration, beautiful rooms and detailed amenities. The rooftop has an amazing view, a heated pool and a great bar for snacks and drinks. The breakfast is truly delicious and the host accomodated the time because we had to leave earlier to catch our flight. If you ever are in Malta, don’t look anywhere else, this is the best place to stay.
Very spacious and very well equipped property. Loved the uniqueness of the layout and in the height of summer the pool area was an excellent facility to be able to enjoy. It felt like we were living in a part of Mdina's history.
As a base for visiting Malta, Mdina is ideally placed, with taxis and local buses easy to pick up from the main gate.
Peter and his staff couldn't be more helpful throughout the duration of our stay.
Our stay was 8 nights for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. They ordered taxis, restaurants, arranged guided tours around Valletta and dropped us each day at the pool. The hotel was exceptional, with lots of history and was in the walled city of Mdina. It had everything you needed, including a Michelin Star restaurant with an amazing view and a pleasant bistro set in a courtyard.
Palazzo Bifora was a beautiful surprise upon arrival. We were made to feel so welcome. Greeted with ice cold Kinnies and given a tour of the hotel once we arrived.
The staff were all so lovely and accommodating.
The rooms are heaven.
The rooftop restaurant and rooftop pool were something to behold. Wonderful atmosphere.
If you are visiting Mdina, you must stay here. You won't regret it.
Overall, the hotel excels in providing a luxurious and relaxing environment. With its spacious bathrooms, exceptional staff, and the unmatched breakfast on the terrace, it promises a stay that's not just comfortable, but truly memorable. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, this hotel is sure to exceed your expectations and leave you with lasting positive impressions
The owner greeted me at the door. The check in process was 5 star. You are welcomed in seated given a tasty local beverage while the owner explains the layout and history of the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel is also 5 star the scallops were amazing the Amberjack was good. The room was great very comfortable bedding. The heated floors in the bathroom were great.
- Beautiful hotel
- Great location
- Nice, happy, smiling service upon welcoming
- Nice checkin
- The staff who eventually came to the room were, for the most part, nice, though often late. This is most likely due to poor management and poor communication than it is the staff (maintenance, housekeeping, etc).
We loved staying behind the walls of the Mdina gate. Such a unique experience and location. The room was always clean, fresh water every time they cleaned the room, staff was great and the De Mondion restaurant was SO good. Definitely a special meal. The pool was so nice to come back to and relax.
The view from the terrace was stunning and a great place to eat breakfast which was also amazing! The staff were lovely and the building it just stunning! Walking around Mdina at night was beautiful so staying in the city walls made you feel like you lived there. I would come back in a heartbeat.
I liked it was within the gates of Mdina. This boutique hotel is very new maintaining the historical elements of the building. The rooms were all different and charming named after streets in Mdina. The proprietors were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious.
Lovely boutique hotel in heart of Mdina old town. Many lovely bars and restaurants within a short walk.
Spacious and very comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Great food - breakfast and dinner both excellent. Would certainly stay here again.
Lovely classic terrace property in a fabulous location just inside Mdina city walls. Property agents were friendly, professional and very responsive, provided prompt and clear arrival instructions. Clean and modern interior still retaining classic charm.
Beautiful boutique hotel right in the middle of Mdina. Very attentive staff looked after us right from the off with a welcome drink. Very comfortable experience with mattress & pillow menu contributing to a good nights sleep.
Gorgeous former home with 6 large rooms, excellent breakfast, family run but 5 star! The staff was amazing! I urge you to stay here!!! Such a lovely experience in the center of Mdina.
The hotel and restaurant staff were outstanding! The view and location were very nice. The bathroom, shower, water pressure and towels were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.
This is a superb hotel, outstanding staff, wonderful location. Incredible views for breakfast and sun terrace. Highly recommended. Rooms and beds so comfortable
