Very friendly and helpful hosts are eagerly awaiting guests to assist with check-in. The apartment is lovely, cozy, and exceptionally well-equipped, making it suitable for both short and extended stays. The balcony offers a fantastic view. Having access to private parking is a significant advantage, as finding a free spot on a public street can be a nightmare. It's also wonderful to have the opportunity to purchase a boat trip provided by the hotel owners. We wholeheartedly recommend this place, and if we return to this area, it will undoubtedly be our first choice once more.

The location was excellent, amazing views. Lovely apartment, the owners were so helpful and friendly.
Our evening meal of fish from the lake was just so good. Wine from their vineyard what more can you ask for. We had a three hour boat trip organised by the hotel on their boat. It was a private tour covering what we wanted to see, excellent value. Cheaper than in town and much better service.
We can't recommend a stay here enough. Our Breakfast was cooked fresh and lovely pepper sauce made fresh, wow.
We just loved our stay.
Very good value.

Apartment was comfortable and well presented. Everything was clean to a good standard. Host greeted us on arrival and provided info on how to walk into Virpazar town avoiding walking on the main road. We were also lucky enough to get offered a glass of fresh juice which was delicious. Host was also able to offer airport transfer to Podgorica at an additional cost which was convenient for us.

The most favourite spot was the acommodation itself, his hospitality and the lake itself. I ate in a reastaurant, in the house and on the beech.
Everywhere was perfect and delicious.
It is easy to get to Virpazar, both from Sutomore and Podgorica.
There is nothing to avoid, everything was great.

I thought the lake was over-rated.
I thought the lake was over-rated.
We enjoyed a morning kayaking (about 9km) and saw some water birds but I have had much better kayaking experiences elsewhere in pristine environments.
In places the water was smelly, I certainly wouldn't swim in it. There was also rubbish floating in various places. Nice from a distance - climb the short track to the monastary and take in a more distant view.
The township didn't seem particularly special - a base for boat and kayak trips wand a few restaurants.

An incredible place if you like wildlife and easy walking.
An incredible place if you like wildlife and easy walking. A great place to relax for a few days. Lovely lanes and villages to walk looking for tortoises, snakes and lizards. A couple of nice, medium walks off the lanes.
The people are very friendly and can speak pretty good English and like a bit of banter.
Also has some nice relaxed bars and restaurants, no hard sell.

Virpazar is a very small village - a supermarket, a restaurant by the river and one more close to supermarket. The reason to go there is to sail on the lake - must be gordious in the summer - we were there in beginning of april - a bit chilly and not a lot of birds. But we took a boat trip and visited an old church and said hello to the munks from a nearby convent.

The main attraction is lake skadar, and it’s even more beautiful than pictures I’ve seen on the internet. I’ve never seen so much natural beauty before! You have to book a boat tour in order to truly experience the lake in all its glory.

Very small town, bridge is the main attraction and you constantly get hustled into boat trips round the lake. One of the local restaurants wouldn't let us use the toiled under the pretence of no water, but it is OK for them to use it and serve the food. We have been told they do it often so their toilets wouldn't get dirty. Anyway we left for another restaurant Rostiljada outside of the Virpazar and we were not disappointed.
Marko is one of the best hosts we have ever met in many years of travelling around the world. His nature cottage is a really special place, overlooking the mountains around Skadar Lake. Great value for money. Marko has excellent tips for hidden jewels in the area. His sister Marina organizes excellent boat tours on the lake with lots of information on culture, history and bird watching. We rented the 2 studios as a family of 5 persons. Don’t forget to taste the local wine and go for this place for an amazing stay at Virpazar!
We loved everything about this place! This was our favorite place we stayed in our entire time in Montenegro. The view was amazing from our room! They brought us coffee and juice upon our arrival. They were very accommodating when we arrived early. We did the boat tour while waiting for our room to be ready. The room was extremely clean. I'd say it was cleaner than some 5 star hotels I've stayed at in the US. The owners of the facility are very welcoming, and I felt right at home. Walking distance from lots of restaurants.
The lodge was in an excellent location for a peaceful break away for our first time in Momtenegro. It's just a short walking distance from the town Virpazar where we enjoyed kayaking and a boat tour of the lake. We hired a car to visit some of the seaside towns, and other areas that are just a short drive away. We we're so greatful to be able to return back to this peacful location on an evening. The lodge had everything we needed for our stay and we loved the cosy feel inside.
I recommend this acommodation either for a couple or the whole family. The mark is perfect 10. The host Ilija Radoman was excellent, friendly, organized a boat ride and the dinner (fish and home made red wine). There is a free car park in front of the facilities. The house is very well located, about 600m from the centre. He even announced us and recommended the restaurant in Virpazar. I can say all the best about the host, hospitality and the house. Everything was perfect. Cleanliness at the highest level. The hosts are very nice people. They made us feel like family. The breakfasts were just sensational! Vegetables straight from the garden and local delicacies - championship. The whole terrace is covered with kiwi, which was not yet ripe during our stay. Virpazar is a beautiful little town, whose atmosphere will stay in our memory for a long time. We will definitely come back here again!
We're extremely grateful to Masha, Maritza, Mirena (with apologies for getting spelling wrong I'm sure) and their family for taking such good care of us. Their farm is such a great place to stay in, and our toddler was in love with all the animals. The wine and rakia (try the rosemary one) they make there is very tatsy. The room was great and spacious. Highest recommendations, a much better option than staying in overcrowded Virpazar.
it was 3 mins drive from Lake Skadar and also grocery. The host was super gracious and had fruit and milk upon arrival. He gave great recommendations, and was always available. We were so grateful for the fully equipped kitchen and the extras including AC and washer dryer. this place was our favorite after a week in 4 Airbnb in Montenegro. There’s also a cute winery by the house open till 9pm for tasting. location is incredible.
Milina is a wonderful host. The apartment is above her house and much of the food she serves is from their land. Great breakfast. Dinner was good too. The place is located about 2 km from Virpazar down a quiet lane. Excellent location to enjoy Lake Skadar from. Only about 30 minutes to airport and Bar. The drive around the lake through Albania takes only about three hours if you don’t stop (but who wouldn’t).
If you’re considering booking this place, just do it RIGHT NOW. The hospitality of this family was truly unmatched - drinks on arrival, a stocked fridge of different home-made liquor, option to go out for a boat ride and the best part of our stay in Virpazar was the dinner cooked for us. If we’re ever back in Montenegro, we know where we’re staying.
Family owned and run apartments and winery, a little hard to reach this place. It is very high in the mountains with the wonderful home made wines and exceptional service. Montenegro make you feel free again, no masks, no restrictions. Fresh food and air, everything spotless clean in the house and dinning rooms.
Wonderful feeling.
Super cute and comfy cabin. A warm welcome from the host (written note on the fence) and the sweet cat who is very hungry. Warm, nice couch, kitchen and beds. Near the harbor of Virpazar where you can do the boat tour on the beautiful Skadar lake.
Everything was perfect! We were amazed with the whole place. Marko was very kind and helped us a lot. After boat tour, dinner was delicious. We recommend this place and it’s the best choice for staying at Virpazar.
Clean, spacious room, central location, suitable for holidays. The owner has good restaurant (Pelikan), offer boat trip, supermarket and train station nearby. Hiking possibility to the lake's viewpoint
The host, Marko, is super nice and helpful and gave us great tips on things to do in the area. Nicely located in a peaceful area just outside Virpazar. He also makes excellent wine that I do recommend.
Outstanding apt with everything you need and more for a nice and comfortable stay. Easy walk down the hill and across to virpazar. The host is super friendly and helpful highly recommend!
Beautiful newly refurbished studio right in the heart of the town. Short walk to Besac castle and viewpoints as well. It is an excellent choice for visiting Virpazar.
