Good proximity to Chiraumi Aquarium (via shuttle), and particularly the Tropical Dream Center (via South Gate) which was a dream. Breakfast was pretty good, and one of the best reasons to stay here. First place in Japan that I’d seen a compartmented plate for all the little breakfast items that more hotels should use.

Our ocean view room was at the very end of the hall, so we had a nice wide view of the ocean. The room was huge, very comfortable, and clean. The bathroom was also huge and clean. One of our rooms was for four people and it easily and comfortably fit four plus luggage. The staff was nice. The breakfast was good and had a decent variety. Proximity to the aquarium was the main factor for us staying here. It was a very quick walk (10 minutes or so), even for the elderly members of our group with plenty of places to stop and rest between. Discounted aquarium tickets can be purchased at the tour counter in the lobby.
