We had a kitchen so we made most of our meals. That being said, groceries are not cheap in Jamaica!
Amazing seafood meal at Bashment bar and grill, a little shack on discovery bay beach!!! Don’t let the place fool you, it was the best seafood I have had near Runaway bay for a decent price.
Driving is not for the weak in Jamaica, it is a busy road often many delays and can take some time to get to where you are going.
But overall, such a beautiful country with the best people.

I liked the view, the general structure of the property.
I liked the view, the general structure of the property. I didn't like how lazy some staff seemed, specifically the person to whom complaints are filed. Attitudes of some female staff needs work.

Check-in was horrendous, it took them 1-2 hours to get us to our room. Be prepared for a reception that is not ready for guests and were almost surprised we turned up despite paying for the entire stay in advance. Fortunately, I had printed a hard copy of the booking otherwise I'd be spending the night sleeping on the beach. Phone the hotel directly was futile as they never pick up the phone. Surprisingly this was the same from the actual room. Security is pretty hostile to paying guests and if you have a car prepare for no parking spaces if you even get let in. On Fridays there is a Sound System outside the hotel playing at 80-90 decibels and the hotel does nothing about it go luck trying to get some sleep. The hotel has an empty disco playing at around 70 decibels till 2am every night. By the way noise above 70 dB over a prolonged period of time may start to damage your hearing. Loud noise above 120 dB can cause immediate harm to your ears. Be prepared to supply your own beach towels. Room towel and bed sheets are not changed daily. The was built in 1958 and the room safe is from the late 80s. Food is acceptable but they seldom have the national dish of Ackee and Salt Fish and the bar runs out of Wray and Nephew white rum by noon daily.

The location was convenient for me and since I had planned on being away from the apartment for extended time, this type of facility was ideal over an all inclusive option. Was there for 17 nights but visited friends and relatives in two other parishes, so was actually there for just about a third of my stay. I found the staff to be courteous and accommodating. I felt safe at this facility. I would definitely recommend here to someone who is interested in this kind of accommodation.
The staff were SO friendly and helped to make my stay amazing! The room I had was very comfortable and stayed cool, and I didn't hear others around me. The arranged transfers from the airport to the hotel were really nice, given the distance (1 hr). it was good to not have to worry about that. The size of the resort was nice for me and it was a great jumping off point for hiring a guide to take me to see local wildlife.
The staff was great! Breakfast was authentic Jamaican, served hot and in large portions. The pool was nice, clean & fun. The balcony served up an unexpectedly beautiful sunset.
Beachside chairs and rocks helped to provide a tranquil, relaxed ambience. The resort was secure and access was restricted to guests & their guests only. Overall, it was worth it. Will return.
The room was decent however I am a new travel agent and I had to request a room change from #116 which was full and outdated. I didn’t tell them I was reviewing the property but was able to get a room change to room #168 which was decent then the food each meal was good however nothing was hot all good was served warm but tasty All and all the stay was good
This is my second trip to the hotel. I rebooked because the first time was just my husband and myself for our anniversary. I was impressed and wanted to take my family. Hence the second visit. The staff as always was courteous and made every effort to ensure that we were comfortable. The facilities were great and the food reminded me of home.
This hotel is amazing hands down one of the best hotels I've stayed in the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The food was excellent with plenty of choices the pools the beach beach everything was there in abundance, I definitely will be going back again and again.
Host Anne Marie was fantastic, attentive to needs and always tried to sort any issues. Unfortunately I was unwell during my stay and she was very helpful.
Property was clean, all facilities you required for a B&B stay. Breakfasts were lovely and traditional.
Breakfast was good, location was good,u just need to get to know the locations places , before u walk forever,,,it’s a huge place…u drink all the beer and wine ,,fun during day and night activities, a killer view , more like you’re in Disney land for adults
The hospitality of Bailey and Princess was so generous and heartfelt. We felt very welcomed and safe and relaxed while staying in their place. The jewel of the property is the rooftop veranda with the sweeping ocean views - just breathtaking!
Snorkeling reef 20’ from shore. They have snorkel equipment. Clean place. Attentive. Beautiful gardens. Beach and pool. Safe to sit there even at midnight in gated community w/guard. Near Cardiff Hall/Flavours beach. Stove, fridge, balcony.
It was a good trip to this hotel, wish I could have gotten to see more of the place and enjoy it a little more, but it was no fault of the staff. I had to leave on short notice due to work. The place is good except for the parking space.
I loved the location, the facilities especially the complimentary drink and the host was the best. Adrian was very cool and understanding. My spouse can’t stop talking about it. Would definitely book again
Our stay at Luxury Bahia Principe was great. The staffs were friendly and they made our stay a beautiful one. Everything was great and we're happy we chose your resort as our vacation destination.
Breakfast was well enjoyed. Comfortable and stylish. Highly accommodating host who went above and beyond the call of duty in helping us with directions and accommodating us out of towners.
The room was comfortable with lots of space, the kitchenette was well equipped the bathroom was clean with lots of towels, all the amenities met and exceeded our expectations.
