The pictures don’t do justice of how serene this ben and breakfast is. Everything about it was perfect. The highlight for us was the view from our room where we could see the mountains and the ocean. In the morning we saw the most beautiful sunrise of our life. The breakfast is also very good. Room service and the staff are super friendly and have great suggestions. They were so kind to even suggest options for our next destination. We will for sure be back and stay longer.

First, the room. Out of the 7 places we stayed in, it had one of the most comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom was the perfect size, clean, and even had a dryer. The a/c was great and the bedside light switches were great. Second, the breakfast: The breakfast was substantial and DELICIOUS. We wish we had stayed there to eat at least once. We were out and about exploring and we didn’t really take advantage of the B&B part of our stay. They checked in on us and offered us so many different things for breakfast. They even packed us a sandwich when we checked out to take on our ride to Napoli! Such incredibly kind and warm hosts. Third, transportation: It was really close to the SITA bus stop that takes you through Maiori and Minori beaches to Amalfi. It’s also close to the square where we had the simplest yet most delicious pasta of our lives.

The view from the Villa and especially from the hot tub was outstanding. I'll try to add some pictures that probably won't be able to show how awesome the place is!!!! We tried the local places Gerardo recommended, and food was delicious!!!

This is one of the best apartments we have stayed in.
This is one of the best apartments we have stayed in. It was clean and new. The apartment is bright, airy and attractive. Beautiful tile floors.. Furniture is good quality. Everything is perfect. The host is welcoming and kind. Scala is a beautiful town. Host provides a parking pass for all areas of Scala for a reasonable price. A car is absolutely necessary. There are buses but they are few and far between. The cost of taxis is outrageous. We recommend this apartment.

Scala is lovely and Ravello walkable If you are fit. The bus service to Amalfi and Ravello could be a little erratic. Having a car is more of a hinderance than a help. Restaurants and cafes are available. San Lorenzo Cathedral is worth a visit. They still use mules to deliver goods etc in the village. A very quaint town

It is easy to get to Ravello by bus (tickets must be purchased in advance from the "card shop"). Ideally you need your own transport as the terrain is very hilly. Great little town, quite and off the busy Amalfi coast towns with a nice view. Having a car really helped. There was a great restaurant within a 20 minute walk of our B&B. You need to be in good shape to walk around, as very hilly.Mary - 10Scored 10

Scala is quiet, authentic and charming, with beautiful views of Ravello and the Amalfi coast everywhere you go. There are a few decent café and restaurant options, mostly in the town center. This is a steep mountain village so having a car to go up and down the switchback slopes is highly recommended. Finding parking in the small town center was never an issue, not even in the middle of July.

Scala is a small, unspoilt town with several bars and restaurants on the main road. Further restaurants are dotted through the town, Zio Peppe was a great find up in the hills and Il Pinguino serve great food. Da Pietro snack bar in the town square has great views across the gorge and serves the best Aperol spritz. If you want to explore further there is a great picnic area at Parco Paradiso, hidden high up in the hills, where you can bring your own food to cook on wood burning grills and pizza ovens with nothing but the sound of nature. There is a regular bus service to Ravello and Amalfi and also a walking route down to Amalfi. Parking spaces marked with blue are pay-parking.

The place is modern and clean with the room having everything you need close at hand. The jacuzzi is going 24/7 and when we were there it was empty most of the time and the view is amazing. Scala is quiet and after a day in Rome was a breath of fresh air. It’s also got a great super market with everything you need. Ravello is close by and the restaurant choices there are sublime. Very close to Ravello, our favourite town on the Amalfi coast. The host Luigi is a legend - he was our personal concierge throughout the stay, helping us with parking, restaurant bookings (even when most were fully booked weeks in advance!) boat rentals and every minor request. Very rare and unique experience in this part of Italy, cannot recommend highly enough and our only regret is we didn't stay longer!

She told us which bus to take, provided an item that we were in need of, and went out of her way for us. The location, the view, was incredible. We should have booked a couple more nights there. There is a bus stop right there but the bus doesn't stop there often. Not a problem. A 10 to 15 minute walk takes you to Scala which has much more frequent buses.
