Ours is a small holiday complex with 3 apartments in total and shared swimming pool (4x10 meters, inground salt water pool, not heated). Only our guests can access our completely fenced swimming pool area. It is an idyllic location on a hill (400 meters above sea level), slightly remote (we have a couple of neighbors), nestled in the countryside of Lucca and close to the woods. Perfect for those who love nature and animals (with a little luck you can hear the fox and the cuckoo in the distance and see the porcupine or some deer on the road leading to our holiday houses). Also ideal for those who enjoy walking and want to relax and to take a break from hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our holiday rentals are located deep in the countryside and on the edge of a tiny village. A narrow country lane, drivable with small cars only, crosses it. Medium-large cars can be parked on the village parking at about 200 meters asphalted distance from our house, to be covered on foot. On the day of your arrival/departure, we will be happy to carry for free your luggage with our car from the village parking down to our holiday houses.
I love these surroundings, cause here I can really take a break from the bustle of everyday life. I like walking in the woods and bird watching. Part of my family originates right from this village. We first started in 2005 with a single house and year after year, we restored our properties with great care and eventually added a beautiful inground pool which our guests love to share.
Closest family run grocery store is at 2 km from us. They sell fresh bread and delicious "schiacciata" (flat bread) every day. Bagni di Lucca (at 5 km from us), is a nice sleepy town, where you will find shops and sport centers (public swimming pool, tennis courts, chemist, supermarkets, etc.) and a spa, once a beloved destination of artists and poets. Traces of this glorious past are to be found also in its monuments. This town provides some very good restaurants, where you can taste our traditional cuisine. Enjoy beautiful walks, bicycle or horse rides on the hills around our properties, full of churches and Roman parishes. Nearby, the Maddalena bridge, better known as the Devil’s bridge, the Garfagnana villages, Barga with its typical historical centre are just a some of the places worth a visit.
