Beautiful hotel in a unique restored historic building with a very high level of personal service from the friendly and attentive staff and management. Our Junior Suite had outrageously high ceilings, an enormous bathroom and a beautiful view of Lecce from the balcony that we enjoyed every day. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and abundant, with changing homemade treats every day like quiche, pinsa and cakes, the option for made-to-order eggs and nice selections of cheese, charcuterie and pastries. The rooftop breakfast and bar area was also a great place to chill and we enjoyed good cocktails there for aperitivo several times.

Very unique, spacious and peaceful place. It does feel a bit more like an events space but the vibe was so peaceful it was hard to leave. I ended up with an upgraded room which was fab. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful

Lecce dazzles every visitor offering one of Italy’s best preserved walled historic centres. Its wonders include tasteful traditional cuisine, rich wines, and charming shops. Located near the crystalline waters of both the Adriatic and Ionian beaches, it is a perfect base to explore the Salentine Peninsula.
Its origins are unclear, but it is believed that dates back to the 12th or 11th century BC, when Italic tribes founded a settlement nearby, which Romans later occupied and relocated to its current position. The pages of its history are filled by Byzantine rulers, several invasions, a Norman rebirth, and an annexation to the Kingdom of Sicily.
Its distinctive Baroque style is combined with well-preserved Roman remnants. Don’t miss the historic centre during sunset, when the light creates a perfect contrast between the blue sky and the mild-yellow colour of the limestone buildings. St Oronzo Square houses the Roman Amphitheatre, while the outstanding Holy Cross Basilica is a must. Don’t miss the magic of staying in a hotel or B&B in Lecce’s Old Town.
The city is serviced by the local railway station, while Brindisi Airport is 45 km away. Whether you’re searching for rural accommodation in the surroundings of Lecce, a resort on the nearby beaches, or a cosy guest house in the centre, check out the deals available on Booking.com.
Lecce’s old city center has a unique southern Italian charm.
Lecce’s old city center has a unique southern Italian charm. The churches and museums are easy to find on a self guided walking tour. Beware, the streets are narrow and vehicles weave around and through the pedestrians. The Museo Archeologico Faggiano is a recent Lecce underground discovery not to be missed, a highlight of our visit. A walk through the free castle entry reveals an excavated ancient sight. On the other side of the walk through is a flea market of vendors offering discounted clothing, linens, jewelry and plants. On our walk we also found a paper mache art studio with glass wall and you can observe the artist applying paste and paper to a statue in progress. The gelato at the Porta Rudiae is divine. The city is beautifully lighted for a night stroll.

Lecce is a beautiful city with a rich history and gorgeous architecture. It's not so big as to feel overwhelming or chaotic, however. It has a calm and chill vibe that larger Italian cities farther to the north don't possess. It's an easy place to get to know and to feel at home in. More so than the rest of Italy, the far south is on more of a Spanish schedule, shutting down in the afternoon for a few hours before opening back up for the late afternoon and evening. Dinner is typically late - 10 pm or after. People considering a trip to Puglia in general should be adaptable in their eating schedules.
Lecce is not on the sea but is only 30 minutes from each side of the Salento peninsula. The two coastlines are quite different and offer different experiences; both are worth exploring at length. However, one will need a car. Fortunately, car rentals are easy to come by and are quite affordable by European or North American standards.

Lecce… and especially Dimora San Giuseppe… were a wonderful surprise!
I was originally planning to stay 4 nights here and 4 nights in Bari. First I asked if I could keep my room for 2 more nights… and the decided to skip Bari altogether and just stay in Lecce.
The quirky little restaurant right across the street, dall’antiquario, is small, inviting and serves the best local food you could find. I ate there every night of my extended stay!
If you’re coming to Puglia, stay in Lecce and enjoy the hospitality of Dimora San Giuseppe and the neighboring dall’antiquario! Unforgettable!

Lecce is charming and has many beautiful churches (most every place charges entrance). The old walled in town is compact. I found 2 coliseums. Big problem finding food. They close most everything for at least 3 hrs in the afternoon. Most restaurants don't open till 7pm. Good luck finding anything gluten free. It's a bread & pasta diet.
The place is located about 10 min from the old town and it was a really nice walk from and to the apartment. It's also just a few min from the modern center. So everything is very close, but the area is pretty quiet. The apartment is nice, comfortable and is equipped with a lot of things - dishes, coffee, board games etc. Dario is one of the best hosts we've ever had - he is very kind and helpful and when we come back to Lecce, we'd be more than happy to stay here again. 😊
What a wonderful place! In the heart of the old town of Lecce, this is a hidden luxury gem with only six rooms. The decoration is from a superior level, with loads of taste and beautiful details. the staff is extraordinary, friendly, helpful and sweet. Breakfast is for Italian standards very good, especially the eggs that are made on the spot by a lovely team. The pool on the rooftop with large lounge area to have a drink is fantastic.
Fantastic location coupled with the old world charm of Lecce. This suite was perfect for our family of 4 and was really in the heart of Lecce a few seconds away from the main Piazza. Finally it was nice to see a suite in Italy with Netflix on the tv for those moments of downtime. The suite was very very spacious and had old stone arched ceilings in every room adding to the character of the place.

Perfect location, just a few minutes away by walk to the historical city center. Alessandro was a super nice host as well :)
The breakfast was also quite good compare to many places we have stayed in Italy.
Cleanliness was on top! Bathroom was not only clean but also beautifully designed. I definitely would love to stay here again when we visit Lecce next time.
Stunning building, stunning apartment, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, with easy access to central Lecce with (paid for) street parking not far away. Vittoria, who lives above the apartment, made everything incredibly easy for us. The whole place has a 5* hotel vibe with lots of nice luxury touches.
A stunning appartment with beautiful mosaic floors and gourgeous high ceilings. Very easy to walk into the old town. Just the place where you can easily spend relaxed days in the south of Italy, while having easy access to the stunning historic center of Lecce. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. We will try to come back.
Awesome staff! Beautiful room and boutique hotel. We stayed in winter but it must be lovely to stay here in summer as it has a beautiful outdoor area. The breakfast was simple but great as we only wanted something light. I can highly recommend this hotel as it is so close to everything and right in the centre of the old town
Beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect location to explore Lecce. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing. They have 24 hour reception which was very helpful for us. The room was spacious and clean. We had excellent drinks at the bar.Everything was perfect, and we hope to return soon!
Lecce was one of the most beautiful city in Italy. The suites were just in the middle of the center of the old city, nice and clean. The idea of leaving us fresh croissants in front of the door every morning was great :) The coffee machine worked very well and the coffee was just perfect. The rooms were spacious.
Ideal location to visit Lecce, just a few minutes from the old town. We parked on the street outside but there is parking garage available. Room is a good sized hotel room with a small balcony. There’s a roof terrace and lovely breakfast room. Would definitely recommend.
The staff and food service staff were exceptional. They could be more helpful or accommodating. We round definitely recommend this boutique hotel to anyone visiting Lecce. A special thank you to Raffaella and Giuseppe!
Grazie
The hotel is an older, traditional style hotel. The room was large and comfortable, and very convenient to the train station and to old town Lecce. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was more than adequate.
Location! Walking distance 5 minutes to old town Lecce!
Free parking in front of the hotel.
Spacious, clean room with good wifi!
Breakfast was good, typical Italian breakfast, a lot of sweets as choice!
