The apartment is located on the tail of the fish, so if you want to be at the center of all the activity, it is not for you. The location is perfect for someone who wants to experience the hustle and bustle of Venice by day, but have a quiet retreat in the evenings. Vaporetti 1 and 5.2 both service the S. Elena stop, which is a five minute walk from the apartment. The number 1 will take you virtually anywhere you want to go along The Grand Canal and we took 5.2 to the train station. A short walk through beautiful and relaxing green spaces will take you to the Via Garibaldi, where you can find cafes, pizzerias, a grocery store and gelato. If we’re ever lucky enough to make another trip to Venice, we will definitely stay here.

Ivan is an amazing host! He was very polite from the beginning till the end. The apartment is very clean, quiet, and placed on the green side of Venice, very close to the boat station (so we had easy access to all the other islands). The rooms are big and have original Venetian furniture, which we loved. We also had a private terrace that hosted our breakfast meals. The kitchen is fully equipped, so Ivan's apartment is the perfect place to stay as much as you want in Venice. Will come back here for sure!

excellent for 2 couples. everything you need for a meal in the kitchen. Being lactose free, dairy free, and gluten intolerant there is not much that I can eat outside so I have to cook my own meals. Ivan is an excellent host and the kitchen well stocked. nowhere have I seen a bottle of Olive oil in the kitchen and balsamic vinegar 😃. Bed was comfortable. truly Venetian style head boards and furniture. huge wardrobes. if you are used to sleeping in a double bed, you might find this a bit different. as both bedrooms have 2 single beds. it didn’t bother me though. I slept like a baby with all the walking we did. the apartment is far from the maddening crowd. Which I’m utterly grateful for. After the very crowded city Centre and the crowded vaparetos (water buses) I was very happy for some peace and quiet. it’s a 15-20 minute walk to St Marks square which was more than ok for us.

The landlord is always in touch and will help with any issue. The apartment is in good condition. Spacious accommodation : a large bedroom with two Windows; the kitchen has a large selection of dishes, including a toaster, coffee machine and microwave; the bathroom has everything you need and even a washing machine, electric towel dryer. There are no bars nearby, sleep quietly. There are no drafts. The building is not old. Ground floor. The nearest grocery store is a 12-15 minute walk away.

Beautiful place with a private outdoor seating area. Bedrooms were nicely decorated with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. Safe was included. It has a very well equipped modern kitchen with everything you could need. We would definitely stay there again.
