The place was really nice but the people were even better. The breakfasts were something special: every day, the owner provides delicious Modica home-made chocolates together with other home-made local specialities. Furthermore, breakfast is served by a very kind and welcoming lady who provides you with whatever you need. Tangerins hanging from the trees branches were also at disposal in the house citrus grove!

La Piccola Locanda is an Art Nouveau villa dating back to the early 20th century and surrounded by large, green Mediterranean gardens. Set in Modica’s commercial district, the guest house offers free parking. Rooms at Piccola Locanda are bright and modern, with lovely views of the gardens. Each comes with satellite television, a mini-bar and fully equipped private bathroom. Homemade cakes and biscuits feature at breakfast, along with cheeses, cold meats and traditional Modica chocolate. Guests are welcome to use for free the seasonal swimming pool at a sister sports center, 1.2 mi away. La Piccola Locanda is set in the center of Modica’s Sorda commercial area, where cafés, shops and pizzerias are just a short walk away. Busses to the city's UNESCO-protected historical center leave from just outside the property.
