It was low season, I think there were maybe 3 or 4 rooms occupied in the whole castle, so consider this for our review! The staff was very friendly, easy check-in and check-out, at dinner time, the restaurant was excellent, great food and wine at a reasonable price. Breakfast was also great, we had custom made omelettes that were to die for. Overall it was a fantastic experience, highly recommend it!

Voghera is a 10-minute drive from Castello di San Gaudenzio and a variety of historic Lombard and Piedmont towns can be visited easily from here. Castello di San Gaudenzio’s restaurant is set in a beautifully restored grain store, which retains its wooden beamed ceilings and lovely old fireplaces. Expect delicious international cuisine served with excellent local wines.
