The apartment was very clean and well-equipped. It included a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable bedroom, and laundry. The location is just off a main street in an older residential part of the city not far from Boboli Gardens and the Santo Spirito area, which has many restaurants. It was also a short walk across the river to the main shopping area. The result was that we felt very close to things bit also in a quieter area. The staff was very helpful both before we arrived and while we were there. The host was very quick to respond to WhatsApp messages. When we went to the office, they were very helpful with information both about the unit and Florence in general. We really liked being in a non-tourist area where we could get more of a flavor of the city and culture.

The Dimora Pieri situated in the ancient walls of the city, in one of the oldest and most characteristic districts of Florence, "San Frediano", the heart of the Florentine craftsmanship, welcomes its guests from the first half of the year 2015 in a building owned by the Pieri family since 1923. After a careful restoration that ended in 2014 with a careful recovery of the original architecture and finishes, bringing back the original beauty the particular coloured ceramic floors that enrich the rooms, has began his business with the goal to make you feel at home in the beautiful Florence. To reach the upper floors, the structure preserves a beautiful staircase in pietra serena dating back to the thirties of the twentieth century, with an original cast iron railing and a beautiful marbled flounce. Dimora Pieri welcomes its guests in a 3-storey building with ELEVATOR and free Wi-Fi, in 7 apartments with their own original style, equipped with private bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, heating, air conditioning, telephone, safe, LED TV (digital terrestrial and satellite free channels), large and bright rooms. CLEANING AT THE END OF YOUR STAY INCLUDED IN THE RATE!!!!! The apartment is located about 15 minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella central station. For those who want to use public transport, from the central station, from the stop next to the "Stazione Pensilina" pharmacy, bus no. 11 (with the Campuccio stop, about 7-10 minutes by bus). For those coming by car, the nearest motorway exit is the A1 Impruneta exit. Florence airport offers a convenient shuttle service (Vola in Bus) or the T2 tramway to reach the Santa Maria Novella station. Alternatively you can take a taxi (ride duration: 20 minutes) which will leave you comfortably at the entrance of our residence.

Florence Oltrarno, that area between Borgo San Frediano and Santo Spirito, a treasure trove of the most authentic and genuine Florence, is an area full full of places of interest, picturesque squares and alleys, old artisan workshops and small typical cafés. Shops that boast customers from all over the world and that tell about the tradition of ceramics, art, woodcarving and decoration. Many artisans still live here. Goldsmith's workshops, streets famous for antiques, such as Via Maggio or places of art where the ancient technique of engraving, metalworking or the fifteenth-century technique of gilding furniture and frames is practiced in the splendid Santo Spirito. In the immediate vicinity you will find also a pharmacy, a bar restaurant, two small supermarkets and a laundromat, as well as many other shops of all kinds, many trattoria and typical restaurants within easy walking distance. Moreover, in S.Spirito Square you can find every morning a local market and many restaurants for every budget, bars and wine bars even outdoors that in the evening become an important meeting point and make this area of Florence one of the most lively, animated and typical one! In just a few minutes walking you can reach and visit the most important and evocative monuments of Florence as the S.Spirito Church, Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, Carmine Church with the Brancacci Chapel, Pitti Palace, Ponte Vecchio, Strozzi Palace, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, Signoria Square, the Cathedral, Accademia Gallery.
