No breakfast available. Just packaged pastries in the room with the coffee maker. Location was very convenient for walking and catching boat rides on Lake Como.

The location in the mountains is beautiful. You have to park the car below and walk up a stone pathway for 10mins to get to the property. If you have luggae this will be brought up...you dont need to carry it. There is a restaurant where you could have dinner. Its not open everyday so make sure to check before booking. The food there is very good with a set menu.

Lovely quiet location compared to Varenna/Bellagio/Como/Leco). We had a room with a balcony with nice views. There is a common area with a large table in the lower ground with access to a garden with seats. This property comes with parking spaces which are outside at the back of the property. The room has a couple of plates, caps, glasses, cutlery, kettle, tea, coffee machine with coffee. This room doesn't have a kitchen which I didn't realise when booking but that was my mistake. However the hosts let us use a private kitchen downstairs for breakfast preparation which was very helpful. They also gave us recommendations about restaurants, parking, what to see and were happy to help with anything. The bed was comfortable with good quality bedding and one large duvet to share. Most of the restaurants have siestas/breaks at various times between 14 - 18 (times differ) and are closed. We arrived at Mandello on Monday at 14:00 and all restaurants were already closed even though Google stated some are open until 3pm. We went to a place that made sandwiches. We were driving a car and traveled to several places. One of them was Varena (extremely busy already at the end of April, bear this in mind as the number of people was enormous) so we were happy that Mandello del Lario was a quiet town. The ferry from Mandello goes twice a day on some days. If you want to take it plan in advance and book your tickets online as they sell out quickly. There are also buses and trains. Roads are narrow. If you are not a skilled driver taking public transport might be less stressful. As we traveled to different parts around the lake we paid between 1.50€ to 3€ per hour for parking. The touristic towns are very busy and a lot of parking is full. You may need to take a few rounds before you find anything.

The Gemini house was exceptionally clean and well organized. Everything was thought out, and very ergonomic. The bathroom and shower were clean and nice, the bed was comfortable, there was plenty of room and storage space. The location was very convenient, 10 minute walk from the train. The hosts were VERY gracious. They went out of their way to accommodate an early checkin. Our train was then delayed, and they made sure to meet us when we arrived at the apartment. Communication was great the whole time. All in all an excellent experience!

The view to the lake was very nice but to some extent a romantic feeling interrupted by noise from road passing cars. If invested additionally to remove extreme humidity, mold and if additional care taken then could become a nice place inside. Outside area to sit was nice.
