The room, hotel, and surroundings were incredible but what we will be talking about for years is the service. Not sure if I can say names on here but the very personable lady who checked us in (the one that had formerly worked at Disney) was so incredibly helpful, giving us a tour of the whole property upon our arrival which is quite large and giving us many recommendations for our few days in Puglia. The head of the bar program (the one who had previously worked in London) was so passionate about his craft, making very unique cocktail made almost exclusively with ingredients of Puglia or even the property. Some of the best cocktails we have had and great company too. This hotel is first rate and the best hotel we have ever had the pleasure of staying in, it doesn't get any better! We were quite sad to leave and say goodbye to the staff, thanks again for the great experience.

Very friendly and attentive reception and restaurant stuff. Our deluxe room with a balcony had comfortable mattress and a comforter good for spring chilly nights. But furniture and bathrooms were quite old for the 5 star hotel. The hotel restaurant had a good chef. It was convenient to have a dinner on the site after busy day of exploring. Hotel is located in a beautiful country side and it is 15 min drive to the nearest town Polignano a Mare. Hotel provides also a shuttle for a dinner to the town. Access country roads to the hotel are very bumpy and narrow.

A week is the perfect amount of time to visit Polignano a Mare and visit surrounding towns.
The old town is super cute with lots of souvenir shops, unique artists and lots of yummy food available. As you walk through the maze of streets there were lots of little view points of the famous beach, caves and the Grotta Palazzese.
Don't miss drinking a Special Coffee at the 'The Super Mago del Gelo Mario Campanella'.
Don't forget to visit surrounding places like, Bari, Monopoli, Lecce and Ostuni (you will need a taxi from the station).

it is one of the magical locations in Italy. you must make a boat tour to watch the city from the sea, it is amazing. pay attention to choose a hotel with old town view. otherwise you will stay in a regular hotel with a street view or just overlooking the sea. ( covo dei saraceni is the best, or look for similar )

If you're looking for a relaxing break by the sea this is it! Plenty of promenade for evening strolls, food is fresh and lovely. It's busy on Sundays as people love spending the afternoons having a drink and the streets are busier than usual. We also went to Monopoli which is really close by and simply beautiful as well.

The history of the town, the cobbled marble streets flourished with bars and restaurants. The gelato bars and the friendly people. The Grotto caves along the shoreline and the heritage site where no buildings are allowed.
Must try Panzarotti from Rotelina cafe and gelato and granita from Bar Gelateria (pink sign) and La Locanda Porta Picc, which is a nice restaurant with authentic Italian food. You must also try BBQ Octopus in a roll at La Cadel Polpo. Polignano is walkable with the main town and also has a train station.

Stella di Mare Dimora Charme is a perfect location in Polignano a Mare. The apartment was incredibly clean and beautiful with stone walls and vaulted ceiling. Very quiet neighbourhood but steps away from via Roma - a busy street with lots of restaurants. The apartment was stocked with breakfast essentials, including a great coffee maker and espresso pot. Complimentary bottle of wine was much appreciated after arriving. I was lucky that in April I could park just outside the door - a huge plus in a busy tourist town. Polignano itself is gorgeous - view of the iconic coast and buildings arising up from the stone. The historic centre is charming. The location is perfect for touring the beautiful Vallee d'Itria and its interesting hill towns.

Absolutely perfect location, beautiful view right on the sea, sparkling clean, large apartment with thoughtful and luxurious touches. Comfortable beds!! (And TVs in the bedrooms!) Very fair nightly rate considering parking, transfers, breakfasts included. Also very generous with snacks left in kitchen and beverages in fridge. This was our last of 4 accommodations on our 12 day stay around Italy and by far the nicest and most comfortable. Viviane at front desk was so kInd, helpful and responsive. Highly recommended!
Palazzo Maringelli is a fantastic place to stay, especially if you are looking to stay in heart of the historic Polignano a Mare. Our host was very helpful, friendly and available to message if anything was needed.
The room is very nicely decorated and clean, it's perfect for a couple looking to explore the area. It is a short walk to the famous beach in Polignano and close to amazing restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay here again when we return.
Absolutely everything was perfect, starting with stunning room view, through excellent breakfasts and amazing terrace aperitivo experience, finishing with great location. The staff of the hotel deserves special recognition, never in Italy we have experienced such a professional, helpful and incredibly polite hotel staff as in San Michele. San Michele's team especially Ms. Margherita, Ms. Marika and Ms. Serena made our stay in Polignano amazing and unforgettable.
Our room was amazing, overlooking Lama Monachile. Very modern spacious room with easy access. Location was great, close to all the main areas and restaurants. Emio and Giuseppe were fantastic host, there suggestions on restaurants were spot on, they booked for us making sure we were on a good table. They helped with anything at all, taxi, tours etc. So friendly and welcoming. Spent 3 week in Italy this was by far the best place we stayed.
This was such an incredible place to stay in the middle of Polignano a mare!
The owner and staff really made it special! The breakfast was THE best we had in Italy. Such variation and new dishes coming out each day. The ingredients were all incredibly fresh and home made.
The location was fab - right in the middle with a mojito bar outside.
The roof had a nice view of the ocean
Very comfy bed and pillows
The host Palma is the sweetest person. She made us feel so welcomed. The accommodation is spacious and so well equipped. Cleanliness is on the luxury 5 star hotel level. The location is so close to everything. We loved our stay here so much and would happily recommend it to our friends and family. If we come back to the area again, B&B Terra Rossa would be our first choice.
The location of the house is very central, very near tho the beach. Also it is very accessible given the fact that it is on the ground level. There is a supermarket near the house you can buy everything you need. The house is very well furnished with the facilities that you might need during your stay, including the washing machine, even if I did not use it.
I had an absolutely incredible stay at the duplex studio in Italy! The charming location and modern amenities made it a perfect home away from home. The convenient location near local attractions and the warm hospitality of the host made my experience truly unforgettable. I can't wait to return for another delightful stay!
Absolutely loved this property! From the staff they were so friendly and helpful , beautiful breakfast , roof terrace with hot tub ! Our cave room with our own pool cave and jacuzzi was amazing ! I would definitely stay here again . Amazing boutique hotel ? Central to everything . Thank you for an amazing stay !
Wonderful Family atmosphere, very nice hosts, strongly supporting with ideas and recommendations for excursions and restaurants, stunning terrace, location in the very heart of the small city, charming Polignano a Mare with nice beaches, special and authentic restaurants, very good vibe.
This property is perfect for exploring the area and experiencing Italy. The location is very central and there are loads of bars and restaurants around. This is in the main tourist area so it is very crowded at all times. The best views are only a few steps away.
Very cute boutique bnb. Staff were quite attentive and a very personalised level of service. Jacuzzi was well worth it! Also, very close to lots of cafes, restaurants, bars and nice sights. I would recommend this bnb/hotel (had the best of both worlds) to friends.
great location, so close to downtown, but easily accessible to to the highway to go explore near by towns. we preferred beach’s in the next town over (Monopoli) but the location is fantastic for accessible the downtown, and nearby strip with food, drinks, etc.
The room was really nice. The location is great, just minutes walking to the city center and beach. We arrived late but the staff was always in touch to see if we needed any help. The hotel has no parking but we found a spot to park right around the corner.
Everything was thought of! A lot of drinks on arrival, enough towels, very clean and a very nice atmosphere and look. The location is great, just a 2 min walk from the center and 5 min walk from the beach. The host was very kind and helpful!
The only very positive thing about there was the cleanliness. In Italy it is a bit hard to find a very clean hotels overall and here was really very clean. Besides from cleanliness was under average I have to say.
An extremely relaxing and calm boutique hotel, the staff were absolutely amazing and polite and we’re attentive to our every need. The breakfasts were freshly made and well catered and the lunches tasty too.
Clean, spacious room with nice balcony to sit out on overlooking part of the town and ocean. Very good breakfast with best croissants we had on our whole trip in Italy.
