Very good location to visit the Syracuse-Ortigia and the Baroque cities Modica- Ragusa-Sciccly and Noto. We where in Ragusa Ibla, very cozy old Baroque city with good restaurants ( even for Michelin Lovers there where 2 restaurants with stars ) For doing the tour of the Baroque cities you need a car and to driving and parking in the narrow streets you have to kbe not sressy and concentrated. Also good for your work out , there are many stairs up and down in the city.

Ragusa itself is a beautiful town and very walkable, I'd recommend three or four nights to do it justice. As a town it feels like tourism is an 'add-on' and therefore feels very genuine and Sicilian as are the restaurants all of which we thought were excellent. The only downside is the public transport, to go anywhere outside of Regusa we found to be quite a challenge as basically you have to rely on taxis, however maybe the transport issue is what has kept Regusa such a beautiful place so its not all bad!!!

Ragusa is an enchanting hill town in rural Sicily.
Ragusa is an enchanting hill town in rural Sicily. It is surrounded by steep gorges, with the town spreading up three steep linked hills. It's a fantastic place to spend a few hours exploring the narrow steep streets. We found some wonderful shops - intended for tourists, but good value. There were also fantastic eateries and the local people we interacted with all seemed charming and helpful. We ate dinner in La Bettola in Ragusa Ibla, which was delicious and great value.

Ragusa has two parts to it, the old and new.
Ragusa has two parts to it, the old and new. The old city is very beautiful and interesting to explore. The main street is fun with restaurants, shops and a park at the end with wonderful views of the valley and mountains beyond. We did not go up the hill to the new city however so we cannot characterize it.

I loved Ragusa, the roads are difficult with a larger vehicle but this shouldn’t put you off just research your routes and think about where accessible parking can be found. The new town is interesting but not touristy whilst the old town is a lovely labyrinth of medieval street and lanes with beautiful Baroque architecture. There are restaurants worth searching for and we particularly enjoyed the ‘5 senses’!
I recently travelled around Sicily with 4 friends and we enjoyed our overnight stay in this B&B. The location is very handy for the centre of Ragusa Superiore, with plenty of restaurants & bars nearby - but can also walk a little further to historic Ragusa Ibla.
The hosts are friendly and welcoming, and the large breakfast included some delicious home-made items. Communications were easy and they gave us some very good recommendations for restaurants. If I was visiting Ragusa again I would not hesitate to book this B&B.
Hassle-free stay.
Quiet area, well-lit in the evening. Close to the bus station on Via Zama, close to the train station. You can walk through the city and the historic part to Ragusa Ibla.
From this location, it is easy to visit Modica and Scicli by public transport.
For those on a tight budget, a Lidl supermarket is within a reasonable distance.
The surroundings of Ragusa are very interesting in terms of landscape and history. Worth recommending.
It was a very cozy boutique hotel right in the old town of Ragusa Ibla. Neat, quiet, spacious modern room with a comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, aircon. Also the beautiful breakfast common space terrace with the view is a great start of the day! We enjoyed our breakfast too. The host was very friendly, helpful, got useful recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants.
There is a free city parking lot not far away as well.
Beautifully designed contemporary B and B with an extremely comfortable bed. Marco is an exemplary host. He had a different gluten free breakfast for us every morning. His knowledge of history is wonderful and driving in Ragusa Ibla can be a bit stressful but we reached out to him and he came and met us so we could follow him to the B and B. It was one of the best B and B experiences we've had anywhere. Thank you Marco.
Very modern room with plenty of space and a modern bathroom. The room sits apart from the main hotel across the square, but this was not a problem. Breakfast was excellent, served on the roof terrace of the main hotel. Parking was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The best thing about staying here though is the easy access to Ragusa Ibla and getting lost walking around the old town.
Best location in town to visit old Ragusa section. Walking distance to great restaurants and to all tourist locations. The hotel was extremely clean and the employees very friendly. Breakfast was the best during out visit to Sicily. The rooms clean, WIFI perfect for my 2 hours work per day. Amazingly roomy shower . We definitely will stay here all the time I visit Ragusa.
Amazing views of the lower town (Ragusa Ibla) from the bedroom window and the balcony. This charming two-storey appartement is newly renovated and fully equipped for a very pleasant and comfortable stay, be it for few days or for a month. We loved it and highly recommend it. Our host was helpful with various restaurants and site-seeing recommendations.
Everything was awesome. Really. This place has everything you might need during your trip. The design is so cool. I stayed for two nights with my girlfriend after tiring trips in Sicily. This place was very comfy and super clean.
I recommend it a lot, if you want to stay for a night in awful stinky Catania better go to Ragusa and try LaVallata87.
It’s a beautifully renovated property in Ragusa, within walking distance of Ragusa Ibla. It was comfortable, fantastically clean, a very attentive staff, superb breakfast. The property has a beautiful garden, a small pool and several patios to relax after a long day of walking and sightseeing. We’re looking forward to staying there again.
We had an amazing 3 night stay in this wonderfull hotel. Very good breakfast and an modern room with incredible view over Ragusa Ibla. On arrival got detailed explanation and recommendations about what to do in Ragusa and the surrounding area. The tips on places to eat did not disappoint. Would recommend everyone to stay in this hotel.
Fantastic spacious room with a large private balcony/terrace at front. Location is right in the centre of Ragusa Ibla and we really appreciated organising taxi transfers to/from the station. We took some recommendations for dining/food which were some of the best in our Sicily trip, would definitely stay again
Absolutely amazing stay in 300 old historical house. The rooms were huge and tastefully decorated. The location was the best in the center of charming Ragusa Ibla. The breakfast was very good with local food. The host was very helpful. I want to come. Back
Our stay was exceptional in all we wanted. It couldn't be more charming, central, relaxing, spotless clean and friendly than we have had! We will definitely recommend to our family and friends that are in love with Sicily, especially Ragusa Ibla, as us.
the view is simply amazing, best location to stay in Ragusa - you just want to stay in the balcony all the time how fascinating it is (room 01)
room is also spacious, and super clean.
one of the best experiences in Sicily!
We had a lovely stay in Ragusa. Free parking just across the road. Easy access to the old town. Great kitchen. Netflix. Very nice shower and a comfy bed. Best place we stayed in Sicily 😍 Would defo stay again.
We loved this small, charming hotel in the heart of Ragusa Ibla. Katrina was so friendly and helpful.
We also liked that parking was available and there were great places for food and drink close by.
Nicely located in Ragusa Ibla, this property was really special. In addition to the very comfortable room, the property has a park available only to its guests. The staff were all very attentive.
Ragusa Ibla is a longer walk from the train station. Although I'm pretty sure we could have taken the bus, the host graciously picked us up and dropped us back at the station.
